VERY strange, if you go down the pub and find a bunch of guys talking about boxing I guarantee they want Lacy to knock that sheep-shagging puffters head off. Even on internet forums, 99% of English boxing fans want Lacy to win.

Anyway, Brewer and Mitchell were robbed against Ottke but then Joe beat them up. Richie Woodhall was robbed against Beyer but then Joe beat him up. Joe has proved beyond any doubt that he has always been the best in the division by a distance.

Having seen many Calzaghe fights, two of them live, he would have knocked Ottke out had they ever fought. I agree that Ottke was on the receiving end of many a gift decision (non more so than the Robin Reid fight) thanks to never fighting outside of Germany, but Calzaghe would have gained respect by putting an end to that clown's title reign and unbeaten record.

There have been times when Joe has just been unlucky, such as when he had to pull out of the Glen Johnson fight due to injury. Having said that, this was before Johnson knocked out RJJ, so even if Joe had beaten him then, chances are many people would be saying, 'so what, he beat Johnson'.

I'm not bashing Joe, I'm just saying that I can see both sides of the argument. At some point he has to take some responsibility for his lack of that 'career defining fight', that's all I'm saying.
