This is getting beyond a joke.

They're both good fighters, Calzaghe isn't respected in America and Lacy isn't very well respected in the UK.

Calzaghe's resume isn't the greatest. Whereas I think he's a good fighter, until now he has never had that 'career defining fight', and for all the excuses he has to take some of the blame. In his defence, there hasn't been too many 'big fights' out there for him, but there have been opportunities for him if he was willing to step out of his comfort zone.

I do think that some of the criticism levelled at him is way over the top, but I can understand where it comes from.

Some of the posts in this thread are outright ludicrous, from 'nobody in England has heard of RJJ', to 'their mouths were open after they saw what Lacy did to Reid'.

A bit of banter is fair enough, but this is getting way out of hand.
