shane and marquez signing with TR to get a manny fight was the best thing that could happen to them in the situation they were in at the time. if manny stays with TR he'll still be making good money even if he doesnt get a fight with floyd. how much was shane and marquez making prior to signing to fight with manny?

if floyd really wanted manny to leave then he better come up with a contract worth wild. when arum wanted shane and marquez to sign with TR to get a fight with manny, arum wasnt just talking, he got all legal documentation ready.

Other than the foyd fights, I think each fighter made more to fight manny. which I agree justified their move. We may not know "for sure". But we know for sure Manny got a call from floyd and the offer was $40 mil guaranteed. we know for sure that is more than manny has ever made. I agree that floyd should present a contract, although TR didn't have a contract until after the conditions were met.

How many olive branches are you supposed to extend to someone? In the past, you modify the testing for Manny and he still says no. Years later, you call and offer 40 million dollars. Top Rank is not in a position to offer Floyd anything so whatever 50 million Bob the Builder was talking is meaningless. They complain about fighting stateside because of taxes. In 2009, that is the closest that they've ever been as far as equal footing. Nowadays? It's no contest. Why can't Arum's son and Golden Boy talk, Floyd still has a great relationship with him. A ton of crap happened between then and now. Both sides have lobbed grenades at each other, engaged in a PR war, videos, lawsuits, changed networks, used each other to promote their fights. Just a ton of bad blood. The atmosphere is much different now than then.
