The safe money would be to bet on GGG.
Though in GGG's last fight in the middle rounds he let his defense down and took some shots that hurt him a tiny bit ,not devastating.

Chavez looked a lot better in the rematch vs Pera , if he continued his training a couple weeks after that fight he may surprise a lot of people against GGG with an upset (middle to late rounds KO).

Has it been 30 days since GGG's father died? If I remember correctly GGG's camp was in the middle of talks with another fighter when he died (was it against Sergio Martinez? I can't remember). The talks were stopped because of the fathers death and GGG would not be training for 30 days because it was a custom to be in mourning for that amount of time.

Those extra days of training could make this fight a closer match for Chavez.
welcome to the nsb boxing forum!!thing to remember though, some posters on here make it an agenda to try to make someone look bad,i have seen it many times...just hold your own,you should be fine...its really not a big deal its just an online forum that lets fans from all over debate boxing.

He definitely has a chance if he trains the way hes supposed to. If not the fight gets stopped by the ref or by Chavez' corner. Cant wait for this fight though!

I still think GGG made a mistake accepting the fight at 168. If Chavez really dedicates himself in his camp then more than likely he will beat GGG imo. Matthyese looks very strong at 140 but If he moved to 147 it would be different just like when Maidana first moved up to 147 and got spanked by Devon. Just because a fighter looks devastating at one weight class doesn't mean he will in another. GGG doesn't do anything spectacular, he walks guys down and they can't take his power, but what happens when GGG faces a guy he can't just walk down with equal power at a higher weight class? We will find out..

No way Chavez has equal power to Golovkin. When Chavez really loads up, then he can punch with real power. But most of the time, he is just a good puncher. He couldn't even drop Vera.

Way to simplify GGG. He's a skilled pressure fighter with a hammer jab. He's more technical than Maidana and Matthysse who are more wild. Jr. is going to take a great amount of damage. His face after both Vera fights was badly bruised.

Chavez's power is a bit overrated. Which only 2 KO's in his last 10 fights.

Chavez will need every once of size to remain on his feet. Jr's corner might stop this one.

I've always felt Jr's power was a bit overrated because he usually comes in with a huge weight advantage and he's not just taking guys out in 1 or 2 rounds. Jr is more of a break you down kind of puncher.

Its a stern test for GGG. chavez is iron chinned and will heavily out weigh him on fight night. If GGG stops chavez jr then he becomes a superstar. But I would go for GGG on points because chavez doesnt have the correct tools to beat him. A boxer that is slick with fast hands would give GGG fits.

Chavez is big can take a shot and will come to fight. GGG will have a handful but he should come out with the win. Can't wait for this one.

Ironically, those same dip****s have blabblerin' for weeks that they pity the man that has to face GGG first after his dad's death. Then these f.ucktards will be on here blasting all the current middleweights being cowards for not having the balls to face GGG, forcing him up to a division that's too big for him. And lastly they'll blast Jr. They'll claim he entered the ring over 200lbs, therefore it shouldn't count as an L on GGG's record. They'll then claim that in order for Jr to legitimize himself, he needs to move up and challenge Wladimir for the heavyweight title
Oh look everyone... it's the Amazing Kreskin visiting us. Say, Kres... just between you n me... will I ever be wealthy? HA!

If Chavez trains hard and comes to fight he can pull it off it will be a great fight and the toughest fight for either one so far.
