I have no idea,,,, prime vs prime at 135 I lean towards pernell since he is southpaw and very unorthodox, and I think he could have success early like Judah, but unlike zab, he would be able to maintain and adapt when Floyd makes mid fight adjustments...
Usually the most unorthodox guys cause the most trouble for very skillful fighters.. Think Forrest-mayorga,, or better yet Augustus vs Floyd...
Augustus caused Floyd problems because he is so unconventional, and pernell can be like that but much better,,, I think pernell could be one of the few guys in history that could match Floyd move for move and pull out a close heated decisionComment

So Floyd's layoffs are the reason Whitaker was a dopehead that didnt want to train? Or is that the reason that he got hit, and couldnt consistantly dominate? Cuz if Floyd goes on a layoff and comes back sharp, that makes HIM look good. He will retire at the age of 38 and come back at 42 and DOMINATE.Comment

prime floyd is faster and taller than pea with a longer reach. floyd is also smarter and most versatile than pea, people forget that floyd use to throw combos at 130-135.Comment

Yea man I get so worked up behind how people dont wanna admit how sharp this cat can throw his hands. Whatever the difference is between these two fighters is whats going to decide who wins. And we know Floyd aint no flashy defensive fighter. This dude is all business and he comes to capitalize on every mistake. Whitaker might make it difficult but after a while he will become predictable to a person like Floyd. I think that no matter how good you are, Floyd has something extra that will always give him that advantage. And honestly I think when he was young he was just beating guys up. When he got older thats when he started making adjustments, and disarming foes. Its crazy how this cat just evolved into a ring scientist. I have never seen anything like it myself.Comment

Yea but in COMPARISON to Floyd, he was all flash. The only time I seen Floyd happy about making someone miss was the last round against Canelo when he looked at the ropes. Sweet Pea used to admire his work way more. Floyd is mentally programmed like a fighting machine. When Ortiz was hugging and kissing, you wanna know what Floyd did? While Cortez was looking away? Floyd was staring at the clock, and staring at Ortiz. He wasnt even mad about the head butt. He was bitter about being hugged because he feels like you are procrastinating the beating. But he was also simply just capitalizing on a mistake. It was simply business it wasnt him having a temper at all.Comment
