It's clear to me that Kovalev wants the fight and Stevenson is pricing himself out of the fight at the advice of Haymon. It is probably good advice. How big a star would he be after Kovalev knocks him out? He can beat any 175 pounder in the world except Kovalev so he will just keep ducking him and beating everybody else and making big money.

I'm thinking they would be paying a boat load of cash for showcase fights on one card like the one coming up on showtime. I can see why HBO did what they did. They Payed and Payed for mediocre berto, Broner fights. Then showtime gets them with decent opposition for close to the same price as the showcase fights on HBO were..

I belive Stevenson would have beat Kovlov, but this is the thing with Haymon, yes he ask for more money for his fighters but he is also getting a bigger share of the fighters purse when his fighter gets paid more. Something to think about. This may hurt Stevenson career. Lara is still signed to Haymon, whys he sitting around?
