Floyds skill set is masterful to watch but resume does matter because how do you know Floyd will look like that against better fighters. Boxing in todays era today is watered down compared to back then. Floyd is one of the few i think will be good back then but not have his perfect 0. At 37 hes TBE out of any in that age but Young floyd never fought someone as fast as SRL in hands and feet, even Zab tagged him a lot. What do you think SRL would to Floyd?

I never said resume's simply dont matter. But SRL would not be able to make Floyd's opponents look the way Floyd did. He may beat them and even KO them. But thats not what I asked. Does he possess the skills, discipline, abilities, versitility to dominate them without even breaking a sweat? No he would not. All of them would land shots on him easily. SRL is just not as good as Floyd skillwise. No fighter in history is as skilled as Floyd. And never will be.

And yea Zab did tag Floyd. But let me ask you this. Could a prime SRL be strong enough to beat a grandpa 2013 Mayweather? Mayweather walked Canelo down. He would beat the snot out of a prime, tall skinny azz SRL. It wouldnt even be close. SRL would be too weak and not have the skills to even test Floyd. We simply have a new age of boxing fans. There is really no comparing Floyd to Leonard or Ali unless you are truly a huge fan of Floyd. I respect that. A person's judgement will always be inaccurate when they analyze fighters with their heart and an inexperienced knowledge of the sport. If you put Floyd in the 80's era, he stays at 135. There's no way in hell he moves up to 147. We live in the era where "skills pay the bills". But students of the sport and older boxing fans know that simply isn't true. If you didn't have the power to keep guys like Chavez Sr, Leonard, Duran, Hearns, Pryor, etc off of you...they would walk right through all that skill and destroy you. Fighters aren't built that way in this day and time.

What do you think Floyd means when he say he is a bank robber? He said he is robbing the bank. Younger fans aren't catching it. Older experienced fans know exactly what he means. He is making some of the biggest paydays in sport's history by beating C class fighters. Floyd calls himself a throwback fighter because he knows todays era is not on the same level. And in all honesty, that is why he and Pacquiao can move so far up in weight. Can you imagine Hearns, Leonard, and Duran fighting in this era. No, can you imagine them fighting Floyd's opponents??? No one would even buy the ppv because they know it would be a waist of money. The results would be brutal KOs. Floyd's resume is good for this era. Still too many misses for my liking. I've watched some of the best throughout the years and their level of opposition. Is Floyd capable of fighting on that level...yes. But has he actually fought that type of A class opposition...NO!

I respect anyone's opinion. But I notice that most Floyd fans need to bash past greats to elevate Floyd. Let Floyd go out and fight other greats and elevate himself. His fans find themselves debating and defending him while he sits back, make the easy fights and laugh about it while he's making these huge paydays. Floyd knows the truth. Its a shame that his fans don't. When you bash an all time great like Leonard and discredit his resume, the credability is ****** out of the post and your boxing knowledge will always be questioned. Floyd is a great fighter that has built his reputation off of overhyped C level fighters, and a few A level fighters that were way past it. He has became a very rich man in doing so. He is not the best ever and probably can fight until he is 50 with the level of opposition he is facing.

Im not a Floyd fan dummy. I turned on him after he ducked Pac, but after that Pac really didnt matter. Pac is only one fighter. Could SRL mismatch Floyd's opponents without breaking a sweat or even being grazed? I didnt ask you about him BEATING them or KO'ing them. I said could he HUMILIATE them without being touched, 12 rounds to Zero? No fighter in history could do it. If your old enough to have watched them in their prime, then you already know Im right. I didnt ask if he would knock them out. I said would he dominate them without being grazed. I actually used Floyd's tougher opposition such as JMM, Ortiz, Mosley, Canelo. SRL may knock some of them out, SRL does not posses the skills to dominate anyone with the prowess of Floyd. And Pernell Whitiker is a flashy defensive fighter. He is nothing like Floyd. Floyd is a businessman in the ring. No flash at all. Floyd is a much better fighter than Pernell. When was Pernell and SRL washed up? 30? Floyd will be in his prime forever bro.

So why did he duck Manny if he is so skilled??? Showing your ability and skill against C level fighters and showing it against A level fighters is entirely 2 different things. His fights with Cotto, Judah, and an old Mosley spoke volumes to me. Even with the wins, I saw the flaws. Flaws that Manny would have exposed back in 2009. That's not me saying Manny would have won, but that's me saying he gets KO'd by Leonard and Hearns.

I think your confusing yourself. What I said is that no matter what style you have, Floyd can completely change his style in order to dominate you without being grazed. No fighter in history can do that. To him an opponent is just an opponent. They are all the same to him. He's just too perfect.

And how many fighters have retired and come back? A bunch. He didnt retire to duck a bunch of easy fights. He retired because he spent his whole career chasing Gatti and Oscar and after he got those fights, he was done with the sport. And notice he was a washed up fighter against Oscar and Hatton both. The Floyd who fought JMM was the new Floyd that we see today.

You make it seem like he strategically waited for those easy opponents to go to war with eachother. Thats a myth that Floyd haters made up in their heads. Just like all the other myths I debunked. They were easy opponents in their prime, and likewise when he fought them. No fighter is as sharp as Floyd

And I never compared resumes. Again your pretending to get confused. If SRL could beat the guys he beat imagine how silly Floyd would make them look. But its absolutely no way SRL could dominate Floyd's opponents without being grazed. He would get hit by all of them. He's just not as good of a fighter.

Perhaps you are right about me confusing myself. There's so many trolls and I may have unfairly lumped you in with them. I completely agree with your statement about adjustment. It's one of the things that I love about him and is a thing of pure beauty. Watching Mayweather take the fight to Canelo was just wonderful for me even though I was pulling for Canelo. It's hard not to love such a display of dominance. I thought Mayweather would win, but not in the fashion he did.

Also like I said in my first post there's a lot of fights I wish Floyd had on his resume, but I don't consider them ducks by any means. It bothers me because as a fan I wish I could point to those victories because I don't like to use hypotheticals to prove his greatness. I also don't hate him for taking the big money fights, he's smart and I would probably do the same, but I do hate how some poster claim that the prize in prize fighting is all that matters in terms of status amongst the greats. It's similar to how Pacquiao fans point to all his belts, and without going into that, I'll just say David Diaz. Sorry but when I see posters start talking about money my troll-o-meter goes off whether or not it should.

Finally if you talk about looking at his resume and how great he is, I don't see then how you can't compare it to others. I'm willing to talk about his skills all day long and how great they are, but he doesn't have a Duran or Hearns on his record. And call me crazy but I don't see how he beats Hearns, because like I said earlier, styles make fights.

Didnt SRL INVENT the Cw? LOL When he went up to 175 I believe. And I think Lara is too small and weak for Floyd. I think Floyd would walk through his punches and beat that little man up. He's way smaller than Canelo.
