So surely this means that Ward fights Kovalev at 175 right?
I doubt ward will move up ... and I don't want to see kovalev being drained so i dunno if it's likely.

I'd love if it happened though (at light heavy no catch weight BS)

I dont think Ward is a ducker either. Some say he ducked Bute, but I'd have found it very annoying if Bute could just waltz in and get a shot at the s6 winner after feasting off of Québec cabdrivers for years.

Ward has made some ****** business decisions, but instead of sitting idle wasting his prime on the shelf, he should shut up and honour his contract. He is still getting lots of cash with the Goosens. Some would say too much given the lame opposition he is facing.

Would be a great fight, would love to see it...but who knows what's going on with Ward now, we don't know and probably he doesn't, whether he is coming or going. Plus the weight issues. But this is certainly a fight i'd add to a list of ones i'd love to see happen.

I don't get it either, maybe he thinks he would be a big star with Top Rank or maybe he wanted to move there just to get Chavez but that would be short-sighted.

But I bet ward sticks around 168 and looks for froch 2, possibly groves, ggg/Chavez, maybe a dirrell or 2, bika, Abraham, maybe even Kessler, Before he moves to 175..

Mofo signed an extension with Goosen. A couple of months later he is suing them for having him signed for too long.

Seriously. Ward should grit his teeth and fullfill his obligations.

How will Sergey Kovalev deal with Andre Ward's head butts, hitting off the break, hitting while holding and other dirty tactics?

Will Ward demand the fight be in California with a crooked referee like Jack Reiss who permits Ward to use illegal tactics?

As soon as Golovkin moves up (which Triple G is doing to pressure Ward), he'll probably move up as well and try to switch to Showtime like Stevenson did.
                    I'm gonna use that....

I honestly think Ward should be more worried about GGG than Kovalev.....GGG's movement is a little different - he can move forward easily using all 180 degrees...plus he can PUNCH. Kovalev is bigger and slower and the most I've seen of him is that big right hand (but it IS a PRESCRIPTION) - I see Ward avoiding him all night, walking around, throwing 2-3 punches and grabbing Kovalev to a possible victory. GGG has multiple weapons at his disposal and can slip a lot of Ward's tactics and counter with anything.

I wouldn't mind rematches with AA and Kessler. AA because he gave Ward his toughest fight before mentally quitting and Kessler because of all the nasty foul play Ward got away with.

These fights will never happen though. Ward will never leave the US.
