This, but I think he'll want to stay at 168lb. He'll probably talk about wanting the the Golovkin-Chavez winner or Froch and Golovkin will fight Murray while Froch will fight DeGale or someone. Groves won't fight him either.

Hunter will want Ward to stay at 168 because he's scared of him losing at 175.

Only fights I'm interested in at 168 are Ward v Dirrell (just want to see it) and/or Kessler II in Denmark.

If you're really having trouble sleeping, I recommend booze or Zquil.

Seriously though, intriguing fight, Kovalev hasn't fought anyone near Ward's level yet, and I can picture Ward giving him a boxing lesson. But I wouldn't object to this fight.
I cannot see Kovalev touch Ward either, but he is twice the fighter Rodriguez will ever be.

KOvalev just signed an HBO deal. Don't expect to see Ward v KKK now. Its the same reason GGG and ward isn't getting made by HBO-KKK and GGG get great ratings for relatively low pay. WHy would HBO risk either of them getting "Canelo'd" by ward and potentially hurt their ratings?

So HBO simply will not allow it?

I never knew HBO was a promotor.

no way, Ward's gonna go after Chavez if he beats GGG
if he doesn't do that, he'll sit out and do nothing
or he'll fight some weakass manadtories or something
like Ward, but that's slowly fading away, just like him

I agree. No reason this fight shouldn't happen in the near future.

I would think we could agree that HBO is going to do what is in its best interest. They just signed KKK to a multi fight deal. History shows us the 1st fight in deals like this are not fights the guy could lose.

Ward's inactivity harms him. He is not fluent as he use to be when he fought regularly. I don't know what he is doing but if he continuous he gonna screw himself up.

I choose Kovalev to KO him if they fight in the next fight.
