Ward has no intention of moving up in weight. If he offers a catch-weight to fight Kovalev he'll take a lot of heat.
Does this mean we get Ward vs Kovalev?

I hope this happens. I just hope it isn't an Ward's demands. **** Oakland, **** Kov possibly moving down, **** the split etc etc.
without all these things I think it's still highly possible that Ward can win. I just hope he doesn't make it difficult to makeComment

I wouldn't complain about this fight at all, maybe once Kovalev has made more of a case for himself, Adonis hasn't helped his case in that respect, but still...
It's a fight Ward can win, of course it is. It would definitely help further his claim to being one of todays best if he was to win, but again of course Kov would have that chance, it's a good fight. However, I feel as though once again the 'politics' and 'bidness' of the sport could keep a great fight from happening, maybe the venue and purse splits and weight differences or whatever, I think something will block this one. But, we could remain hopeful of it after the shame of Stevenson's recent acts.Comment

In which case It'll be another 6 months down the gutter for Ward.Comment

I dont think Kovalev has any leverage to make any demands towards Ward. You can bet your house that this is a jOakland fight.Comment

Even if it means keeping the p4p no. 2 on the shelf for at least another 6 months? That makes little sense.Comment

Ward is following in the footsteps of Floyd except he doesn't have that sort of fan base to get away with it, he will only shoot himself in the foot sooner or later.Comment

I fully expect Ward to fight a tune up and then fight the winner of Groves/Froch or Golovkin/ChavezComment
