Anyone even considering fighting an old man like Hopkins should be penalised and slated at full will….

There comes a time when you think, I don't want to be beating up on someone who has probably got almost close to HOF status but this ex pu$$y has no morals or dignity.

I sincerely hope he can't avoid any serious threat to him for much longer and gets plastered for being a ducker and an ex pimp

the bottom line is hopkins is a more tested, accomplished, higher regarded and just plain better fighter than kovalev. add a higher purse and two titles as opposed to one and he does more for stevenson in every single way.

its common sense really, idk why im surprised people are being completely illogical about the situation because frankly thats the norm. but this might be the worst **** yet, the notion that fighting a living legend like hopkins rather than a guy whos best win is campillo or cleverly is somehow a duck is so far beyond ******ed i barely know what to say.
You do realize he's fighting Fonfara next, not Hopkins right

HBO let him fight Fonfara on the condition that he fought Kovalev next but nope. He could have easily fought Kovalev while making more money than against Fonfara and then fought Hopkins. Of course not, you're his manager/accountant and dont want him to lose so its ok for. Ill never understand how fans can act with a champ avoid his top contender

And I'm pretty sure Kovalev has a 3 fight deal with HBO in 2014. I could be wrong
It was HBO that rejected Hopkins Stevenson. And HBO rejected Stevenson/FonFara because of Haymon's involvement. So its HBO that's helping to drive Stevenson to Showtime, which is good because we may get to see a unification bout of all 3 major titles.Kovalev can keep that semi-major paper title the WBO that he won from a bum-instead of fighting Hopkins for a real title.

A lot of Kovalev fans have a racial bias;to them, its ok for Kovalev to duck Hopkins for the easier Cleverly, its ok for GGG to duck Ward for the easier Chavez. But its not OK for Adonis Stevenson to pick Hopkins whose ranked above Kovalev and has a wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better resume then Kovalev who don't even have any great wins on his resume.

Where was your criticism for Kovalev when he was mandatory for Hopkins but chose that bum Cleverly instead? And Adonis has been chasing after Hopkins for ever, even before Cleverly was even talked about as a opponent for Adonis, theirs no real money in fighting Kovalev, and plus he's not even ranked above Hopkins. If Kovalev wants a fight with Stevenson he`s gonna have to come to Showtime and fight the Hopkins/Kovalev winner.

How is it ducking when Hopkins is ranked above Kovalev, and Hopkins is a bigger money fight, and has a way better resume then the Johnny come lately Kovalev? If Kovalev wants a fight with Stevenson,he needs to come to Showtime. The boxing world doesn't revolve around Kovalev,Stevenson have to look out for his own best interest.I did't see kovalev breaking down the door to fight Hopkins when he was Hopkins mandatory, instead he chose the mediocre Cleverly, but it was okay for a lot of Kovalev fans.If Any other fighter besides GGG did that,a lot of you Kovalev fans would have been tearing that fighter a knew butt-hole.
