I'm not saying he was the greatest martial artist ever or a world class fighter or anything like that, but he wasn't just some actor pretending he knew how to fight. He was a martial artist after all, before he was ever in Green Hornet and a movie star. He was cast for Green Hornet by a guy who saw him at a martial arts event.
    I agree with every word.

I'm certain some people think Chuck Norris is "just an actor." But Chuck was a world karate champion, a legend in his field. He's just one of the many people who attest to Lee's skills. Bruce had the respect of many people in the martial arts community. You can't pull the wool over the eyes of that audience for long. They're the kind that want you to "put up or shut up." Now, there are diverging viewpoints as to Lee's ultimate proficiency; but there's no doubt the guy fought, and fought well.

i'd take bruce lee in a ud in that fight, he'd outwork dib with his crazy stamina, maybe a late tko

Tell me about it. When you are threatened by someone you put them down as a defense mechanism. In their distorted reality, Bruce lee is a bit of dog mess on the floor and they happily tread on him, its way over the top some of the comments. When in the real world bruce lee is the God of martial arts.

If you say Bruce lee was the best fighter of his day and nobody could beat him it is closer to the truth than the comments that Bruce lee was an actor who did martial arts.

Chuck Norris is entirely different because he was a professional fighter and had professional fights against other world class professionals of his profession.

Bruce Lee had not a single fight in his entire life.

Based on movies you have seen and fights he never had?

Tyson would literally beat him to death. Anything else is fantasy. Ill give Bruce that Chuck Norris said he was the best fight he's seen who wasn't a pro. But that implies the pros were better. And he has said multiple times he would have ****ed up Lee, and he is a very humble man

                  lol I'm inclined to agree.

One of the great myths martial arts perpetuates is that size is unimportant in a fight. Maybe there's some truth to that when you take a big, untrained, un-athletic guy and pit him against a guy like Bruce. But you take your average 5'9" 170 lb karate black belt and put him against Lawrence Taylor? lol LT's going to jail for manslaughter.

You can't say he was a world class fighter, you can't see he was the greatest martial artist ever and most importantly you can't call him a fighter at all. Since, he wasn't a fighter, never has been a fighter and obviously never will be a fighter. You have to have fights to be called a "fighter".

He was pretty good at doing exhibitions showing how to do moves on human dummies, I suppose. I know he was trained in some styles, and trained others those styles. That doesn't mean you are a fighter though obviously.

Don't see how that means he can fight. There's nothing to suggest he can fight.

That's hilarious to me. As always can't tell if you're serious.

But the second part, the part you're saying is "further from the truth", is literally a fact.
