Talk about a booty ass card. Then you have the crappy May/Maidana card. After such a great 2013, GBP is really dropping the ball.

It really is starting to appear that the GBP investors really must be making their displeasure known.

        This.........

Dont be sheep like the rest, you see the issue is Golden has 3-4 hype jobs at WW(Thurman included) who they need to possibly position as Floyd opponents, I understand that, but when Floyd has a fight signed, it's time for the pups to spar build that name and earn that fight. Like you stated with all the names from 140-154, Broner, Khan, Garcia, and Thurman shouldnt be facing nobodies......This news irked the hell out of me

The year continues to get worse.

We was spoiled last year & are having to suffer for it now

With the underwhelming news regarding these fights I really think there is something to the Haymon/Scheafer vs GB rift and it's killing these fights........

It struck me as odd the Guerrero sued GB one week, then signs with Haymon the next....

Something is going on and GB needs to step it up, TR/HBO has a excuse with their limited stable what is Scheafer's????????????

This is the classic set up fight where a up and comer is given a fight to look good in to set up something bigger. There really isn't anything wrong with it.

I can understand your frustration but lets be real. It took some ATG's, ex chavez and duran, ATG, 50-70 fights before they fought someone who even had a pulse.

Is it possible that modern fans have lost all perspective?

I don't think those fights were on Showtime... and that Showtime card also had big mismatches televised on the same card

This is even worse than some of those HBO showcase cards from a few years back.

Thats because showtime wasn't around, come on man. The reality is holyfield, SRL, floyd, and other fighters who got huge fights at a young age are the exception not the rule. The reality is most fighters, especially stars, are brought along slowly and usually amass a spectacular record on the backs of a string of inferior fighters before getting their big shot.

Again, I can understand frustration. But i think part of the problem is this ridiculous, erroneous misconception that ATG fighters started fighting great fighters immediately. There is nothing farther from the truth.

I know that, but it is now.
All three of these fights are gonna be on Showtime.... Even Maidana went back to Argentina to fight the opposition you're talking about.

Since Showtime knows HBO is fully out of April except for the PPV, they're doing whatever they want then.

We're also made because they have the majority quality at 140-154 and they're doing nothing with it
