Firstly Guerrero was this big bad boogeyman when he stopped Manny is sparring

Secondly Mayweather was ducking Guerrero, would never fight him, and scared to face southpaws

Thirdly Guerrero was a four division champ

    Lastly Guerrero was Floyd's mandatory

It's not like Floyd handpicked him, but this is about Thurman and who he fought, let's keep it that way

And I find it comical that you use SRL to back up this Thurman resume thing, when you know the sport was different then fighting anybody to fight every other week.....Why did you fail to use ODH, or Mayweather as a barometer since I mentioned them, and since they fought in a similar time frame and era, were they facing no names...............
ODH and floyd are the exception, not the rule. to use them is pointless.

Yes, SRL fought more often. But his comp level during his 1st 25 fights was equal or inferior to Thurman's. You just didn't know this because you believed a myth rather than research yourself to see if the myth was real.

You are complaining about something you are clearly wrong about. Why not just go back and review the resumes of the ATG's and see for yourself how they were built. SOme were built quickluy-like holyfield, odh, floyd as I said.

The vast majority-99%- are built slowly. Yes, as time has moved forward fighters fight less. SRR fought far more than SRL. thats because they make more now. You think SRR would fight 4 times a month if he made floyd thurman money?

All I ask is that you attempt to validate your beliefs by researching the facts.

*shrugs shoulders*, I'm definitely watching because I like both Thurman and Matts, but the matchmakers could've done better. Saying that, the match-ups could be worse (i.e. Broner/Carlos Molina). John Molina/Matts will be entertaining, but it would surprise me if the fight goes past 6. Thurman/Diaz will be a bit more competitive than most think, but Thurman should get a mid-late stoppage.

why does Thurman need this fight? Julio Diaz isn't on Thurman's level right now. damn you Paulie Malignaggi, you used your Showtime connects to take a Thurman-Porter title fight away from us.

Its an okay fight. At least he's not in there against a total stiff like with Kell Brook. Haymon needs to put the pressure on his other fighters to fight Thurman. Thurman has a lot of potential to be a star.

Keith Thurman is 25 years old and hasn't fought anyone on the same level of the guys Chavez at 22 and Duran at 21 were fighting.

                Try again buddy.
I thought posters would understand 50-70 was an example and not literal. I will word better.

Your example supports my point. Thurman has fought 22 times. You listed Duran's 29th and chavez 44th. Thurman has some time right.

The age thing is relative, especially since foreign fighters like chavez and duran do not have the same age requirements that american fighters do.

This fight would have made more sense for Matthysse.

Another washed up dude with like 10 losses. Won't prove a damn thing for Thurman.
