I never said they were. I criticised Sergio for fighting Murray and Barker. No one turns down a Miguel Cotto fight though.

My point is that whether he's been ducked or not, Golovkin shouldn't be anointed the best until he actually beats Martinez.

It reminds me of the Paul Williams hype. People were saying he'd dominate 3/4 divisions just because he was perceived to have been avoided. Then look what happened.

The point is this. Sergio and many others are saying that Golovkin does not deserve a shot at Martinez. Out of the rest of 160, he is the ONLY real goto guy if Sergio is going to defend his belts. There is nobody more deserving, which was the point of this entire thread. To say otherwise is a complete joke. You know this. Sergio vs Gennady is the only 160 fight that makes real sense.

Sergio is looking to retire after beating Cotto. His days are numbered. Don't think that because I say GGG is the #1 MW that I think he is invisible. If GGG moves up to 168 to fight Chavez I think that would be a mistake.

Yea makes no sense to say GGG is not on their level when the fact is GGG is the MW Champ and If we are talking about TV ratings his last couple of outings have average just over 1 million viewers. That's right on par with Sergio, Cotto and the likes....

Why would Sergio waste his time fighting some horse maturbator from Kazakhstan? Golovkin should take up Lara on his offer.

I think he's also said that Golovkin would be a very tough fight and he'd like to fight him. Point still remains that he hasn't done much and certainly not enough for people to start saying he's the man.

I think unless Sergio gets a Mayweather fight, it should be Golovkin next.

Sergio hasn't done much of late either besides lose to Murray and get a gift decision, and he seemed to be regressing in the fights before that also. He should beat Cotto but age is rapidly catching up with Serg

I understand where Sergio is coming from, but due to the hype machine and the weakness of the middleweight division, Golovkin is the best opponent he could take on at 160.

In the mean time, knocking out bums should not be a gateway to the top. GGG needs to take on a legit contender, even if it's a top 154 guy. Like Lara, for example.
