In the mean time, knocking out bums should not be a gateway to the top. GGG needs to take on a legit contender, even if it's a top 154 guy. Like Lara, for example.
GBP guys don't fight on HBO. How did you fail to notice?

He's got a point but GGG hasn't had those opportunities to show that he is yet. He's doing what he's gotta do with the lack of opposition. His fans still suck him off a little too much but he's climbing that latter

Sergio Martinez: "Gennady Golovkin Still Isn't On My Level Reply to Thread"

Says the guy who ducked Triple G. Lou Dibella exposed this fact already. Sergio, keep calling out smaller guys while you duck the Triple G and Andre Wards of the boxing world.

And based off his last fight, Martinez isn't on Martin Murray's level...

..... And Murray ducked and is running for his life from Golovkin!

Martinez was never quoted in the article as saying he won't fight Golovkin. And he has been quoted in the past as saying he will. Maybe people should keep that in mind before rushing to judgment.

It's quite adorable that Golovkin fans count this as some kind of actual victory

Sergio is THE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION he fought more credible competition, no one would say GGG fights competition, Everyone is not ducking him, Ward isnt! Lara called him out, but he's a boxer and would box GGG's ears off. When GGG gets in the ring with a BOXER like Sergio he will get outclassed easily. You guys get seduced with the KO just like all KO guys they come and they go, when they run into guys they cant KO they LOSE Cause they have to use boxing experience that you gain from going rounds and they fall apart, history proves this.
Everyone knows promoters put boxers in with guys that will make them look good, GGG is no different. Martinez has tons more experience than GGG. He's faced Williams and Margacheato with his plaster in their primes, name anyone on that level that GGG has faced....ANYONE

It's funny how guys say so and so isn't on their level but then go and fight a lesser ranked fighter. GGG doesn't deserve a shot at Sergio but Martin Murray did.

Sergio didn't face prime plaster Margarito. GGG is not a brawler, he's an accomplished amateur and Olympian. He's not just a ko artist like a Lucas Matthysse. Lara called out GGG n that was gangsta but he's at GB. That fight won't happen. Ward is calling him out but he's a weight class higher. GGG has been wanting to fight Sergio, a fellow middleweight who fights on HBO but can't get him in the ring with him?? Why??
