Cotto has always expressed interest in a Martinez showdown at some point but it was during a time when he wasnt ready to jump to 160 to test the waters and felt he had more to do at 154. Hes doing it now because its literally the only thing left for him to do in his career. Sergio is doing alot of talking... Cotto had to take the backseat to both manny and floyd in their fights even though HE was the champion in both. Martinez just has to deal with it.

Martinez has fought a lot of bums in his career...now he's fighting a live opponent who will attack his body and he's getting his excuse in order. So I think this is a good match up fot both sides. Cotto fights an old fading Martinez, and Martinez fights a smaller boxer wich is low risk/big money.
