Yeah he fought Jennings after a brutal KO loss. A British fighter who was 35-1. But its OK for Martinez to fight the Darren Barkers (like half this guy's wins have come against guys who don't even possess a .500 record), Macklins, and Murrays of the world. This fight is interesting precisely because of all the variables and question marks. Cotto is the smaller man, and his best days are behind him. Martinez is old and his health is suspect. Regardless of what anyone may think, I seriously doubt Miguel would've challenged the same "Maravilla" that turned P. Will's lights out. It's just as well that this fight is taking place now, otherwise there would've been zero doubt as to the outcome.
