He does have a slick style. But thats about it.

I mean , people keep saying "fighter A keeps ducking Lara , he's too slick. He'll outbox anybody in his division." And thats just not true. He is a good fighter. But putting him in the same sentence as Floyd or Rigo is not right.

Yeap you are right, but Lara fought perro in a phone booth while ginger ring was a football field that makes a difference.

This is amazing. My poll is nearly 50 50

I suppose semi-slick would be an appropriate label

As a matter of fact, what does Lara bring to the table that would make them fight him?

To a degree. Lara doesnt respond well to constant pressure which is Angulo's style. Thats why I want Canelo-Lara because that is NOT Canelo's style. I dont even see a boxer puncher beating him, if you cant match him in skill you need relentless pressure. Look at Broner-Chino nd Angulo-Lara. Similar fights, they both worked on being in range to land their good shots by applying pressure.

How about: Runner Semi-Slick Mover? Or Slick-Runner Bob and Weaver?

Surely we can have long discussions on these intricate contemporary styles.

For Floyd, a 75" reach. Floyd's never fought anyone with more than a 73" reach. More importantly perhaps, Lara has a lop-sided win over Trout. Canelo got a fight with Floyd by beating Trout by a hair. Lara trounced him.

Canelo and GGG would likewise be wary of Lara because of his reach. Furthermore, Canelo has been given the biggest problems by boxers as opposed to sluggers and swarmers.

Lara's soutpaw stance and boxing ability make him all the more feared by all 3.

For Floyd, to show he is truly the best at light middleweight and to prevent the spread of his reputation as a ducker. Canelo should fight him to out of pride: he was challenged in person by Lara and there is no bigger threat at 154 that he has yet to fight. As for GGG, to prove he is not a liar. He said he'd fight anyone from 154 to 168. Lara falls in that category and would be the best name on his record.

He's definitely a runner. If you can label anyone in the sport at th top echelon a runner it would be Lara. That's just the simple truth of who Lara is as a fighter.

If you are a fan of his, that's cool but even bias can't deny this.

I don't think Lara has many fans TBH. Just more like people who want to see him beat Canelo.

Anybody who says Lara is a slick fighter don`t know what a slick fighter is.A slick fighter is a clever fighter whose very tricky and has an unorthodox style.Lara has a orthodox style.Examples of slick fighters would be fighters like Mayweather,Hopkins,Rigondeaux a prime Roy Jones and Pernell Whitaker.

I actually like Lara, but I am more of a Canelo fan and you can forget whatever is said about Canelo fearing Lara. Actually Canelo is slicker than Lara. He can stand in front of a guy and make him miss, much more effectively than Lara can.

Lara is a mover more than a slickster. His movements are more mechanical and predictable than Mayweather's; so, he is not as tough to corner and hit. He would definitely be a more complicated foe for Canelo than Angulo, but I think Canelo would be able to hit this guy with some solid punches. By virtue of the fact that slow-punching Angulo rocked his world, I think the more explosive and faster handed Canelo, might beat him convincingly.
