Being difficult to hit in a phone booth is one of the slickness measurements I use
Being able to slip punches is an ability which combines footwork and upper body movement. Floyd does this much better than Lara if that's what you wanted to hear.

Trout, Vanes, Hernandez, Hearns, Williams all landed less than 20% of their punches
Angulo landed the most at 20%

Is the guys defense really in question? Is he slick? Damn right he is slick.
Yes he moves a lot but he has great ring generalship, he doesn't 'run'. A runner is a guy like Amir Khan once he gets tagged and does 5 laps of the ring.
Cuban boxing, they're taught feet first.

I wish more trainers would teach their damn fighters some footwork. I can't stand watching boxers who have horrible balance, are heel crossing, falling over their own feet, aimlessly plodding forward in straight lines and such

How people call themselves boxing fans when they can't appreciate great footwork? It is almost a forgotten art.

Lara moves a lot, but that's how he is effective. Lara is great at sticking to his game plan. Stick and move, stick and move. That's when he's the most effective. When he stands in the pocket or gets caught along the ropes he's very vulnerable.

He's dark skin so his slickness perception level goes up +100.

Yeah thats what were talking about, his foot work aka running.

Running is his defense, and when he can't run he's not so slick, it aint rocket science bro

I guess you cant be a "hardcore boxing fan" unless you like to get bored at a guy running for 8+ rounds, all while watching his feet.

Someone should of told the guy in your avi to try it sometime instead of 'running' face first into punches

Basically if you use footwork these days its running and you are a coward.

Don't side step or the crowd will boo and rename you Linford Christie, your own promoter will put you down and nobody will tune in.

No he didn't. Lara gave up the body, Angulo barely touched Lara upstairs.

Watch the fight before you spew such nonsense.

That's the difference....moving a lot and slick are different. Slick is being able to dodge and not get hit...moving is just that moving away from your opponent. Lara is not slick he's not a hard target to hit but he runs around the ring a lot.

He's a mover, not a slickster. Slick fighters don't get dropped by Angulo twice and beaten up downstairs.

Toney, Mayweather, Whitaker are slick fighters. Watch Lara against Hernandez and tell me if he was at all slick
