the feds have done us a favour here. molina was only going to come and bore us to death on saturday. he really is a horrible fighter to watch. he hardly lands a hurtful punch. he comes in with his head, nullifies his opponents work and lands feather dust punches which somehow catches the eye of judges. his fight with ishe smith was a horrible fight. charlo punches hard and he knows that so he only wud have went out to spoil the fight.Comment

A friend of mine in high school had a girlfriend who was 2 years younger. As soon as he turned 18 the girl was 16 , the mother pressed charges.
He is now registered as a sex offender.

I don't know the facts but if it was as bad as some of you are assuming it is, he WOULD have been locked up. It was most likely consented. And I'm sorry but I find nothing wrong with 18 y/o having sex with a 15 y/o if its consented. For three reasons. I know many 15/16 year olds who can and do pass for 18 regularly. Second, my Mother is 4 years younger than my Father. She met him when she was 16/17 I believe and contrary to what you'd expect my Grandparents adored my Father. And third, Women were married off as young as 13 as little as a century ago. And they would be immediately expected to start having children.
The truth is most of you are idiots can't discuss boxing let alone a serious incident like this.Comment

Yeah, I won't tell anyone what to believe in this case; but, from the facts I've looked at (the court documents), and my own reason, it seems Molina might've simply had consensual sex with a girl who wasn't terribly younger than himself. I can't say for certain, and there's no definitive evidence, so I'll simply withhold judgement on the matter. One thing's for sure, this thing is hurting his image and will follow him for life. Even without knowing any facts, people will always react a certain way when they hear "sex offender."Comment

Also I believe that we're judging him without knowing fully what the facts are.
Taken out of context an 18 year old having sex with a 15 year old sounds bad.
But things sometimes aren't so black and white. The 18 year old could be a Sr. in high school maybe even a Junior if he was held back a year, the 15 year old could be a freshmen. They could know each other for years, could come from the same neighborhood, been dating before he turned 18, they could have had consensual sex for years before he turned 18. They could be very much in love for all you know. Giving all this context do you still believe this 18 year old to be a pedophile and a sex offender?
Again we don't know all the facts. We're not sure exactly what happened.Comment

It's tough to judge with the limited facts we have. As you say, we don't know the exact details. I don't think we ever will. The girl could've been anywhere from exactly 13 to a day before turning 16 (according to the statute). I don't think too many of us would have a problem with an 18 year old boy having consensual sex with a 16, or even 15, year old girl. But where do you draw the line? 14 is pushing it, in my opinion, and I would definitely have a problem with 13. But that's just me.Comment
