    lol.. what?

alexander fought bums? bums like matthysse, bradley, bailey and maidana?

alexander doesnt cope well with guys like porter and bradley, guys who apply lots of pressure and are physically strong enough to rough him up in close. but its just that one style thats given him problems (as far as we know). he hasnt fought bums, he has fought nothing but quality fighters since winning his first title, purdy (a late replacement) being the only exception.

khan fought two fighters of the same caliber back to back and got dropped by one of them, but i guess we are ignoring that arent we? just like we are pretending alexander ducked khan when its common knowledge and a fact khan is the one who passed on the fight. to fight someone better i know, but that doent mean alexander ducked khan when in reality he did everything in his power to get the fight.

maidana is a flawed fighter as well, i will give you that. but he still beats khan and does it easily.

Does it easily like he did the first time?

My point about Alexander is that everyone said he "improved" when he moved up to 147. When in actuality, he just faced bums or guys that suited his style i.e Bailey, Purdy etc.

As soon as he was faced with a style that could give him problems (Porter), he went back to the same old timid Alexander.

Same thing will happen with Maidana. Everyone is talking about how improved he is but once he faces someone with a style that doesn't suit him, he'll go back to the same old Maidana.

Until I see him beat someone with speed and movement, I'm not going to pretend he's a whole new fighter.

Take that for what it's worth. Personally I am very impressed by Chino Maidana's performance. He stopped a considerably bigger man -- something Canelo Alvarez has never done. And that was Floyd Mayweather's previous opponent. Furthermore, has Mayweather ever stopped an opponent that was significantly bigger? No.
I don't really give a **** what shape Soto-Bum-Ass was in. Did his great shape suddenly make him faster or use lateral movement?

No he's a guy who walks straight forward and fights with his face. Of course Maidana is going to look better against a guy with that style.

The Maidana Khan fight was tight.
Maidana has improved and if today's Maidana fought the Maidana in that fight Today's Madana would win. If the Khan in the Maidana fight fought today's Khan IMO today's Khan loses. Khan has not looked good since losing to Peterson and Peterson has demonstrated the blue print to beat him which is constant pressure and inside fighting.
There has been a considerable momentum shift and that is enough to swing things Maidana's way. He has also been more active and is confident. Maidana does not need to have transformed into a De La Hoya to beat Khan just be better than he was as it is clear Khan has declined. Khan looks more beatable now than when he fought Maidana.

that soto bum ass KOs khan. at this point the only welterweight that doesn't have a chance of KOing khan't is probably malignaggi, maybe josesito lopez. and if he does fight collazo, he is getting KO'd. is fascinating when khan's fans talk about carefully matchmaking, then what has khan been doing? didn't he fought molina and diaz? what was that? they were trying to make him look good but he managed to look like Shit

If anything the Maidana of old with relentless pressure and constant hounding with punches thrown with bad intentions, is worse for Khan than a guy who's trying to box a little bit more.

I don't think that Maidana's beating of the likes of Soto-Karass, Lopez and Broner means Maidana is a whole new beast. Because most top 10 WWs would beat those guys, including Khan.

Let's see how he does against a top, proven WW.

Who exactly is saying that??? I'd like to know...and im sure the rest of us would like to know as well.

FYI Maidana has changed....he as "tweaked" his game just enough to make him a better fighter....but don't get it twisted he is still the same fighter underneath with a better understanding of boxing....

this guy goes on a 3 fight win streak where he TKO's a fighter with 10 losses in a bull***** stoppage, goes life and death with a true light welterweight coming off the beating of his life, and over powers a small lightweight who just got exposed at 147, yet still managed to get hurt by him in the later rounds

this a new Maidana though, he'll give Floyd a hell of a fight and avenge all his losses
