There were a few toss up rounds in the very beginning when they started slow but Salido figured him out and took control. Salido may not have dominated from 1-12 but I still view it as a dominating performance. I can't think of a single great punch Loma landed aside of round 12, the shots he did land were soft and would work in the AM's, but not the pros.

Loma does have talent, doesn't look like a scrub at all, just needs way more experience.
Yep, he did well to still have something left in the 11th and 12th rounds, but it had a lot more to do with Salido trying to slough off all the weight suddenly and being poorly prepared against a guy with 1 fight that he probably assumed he was going to knock out in 5 or 6 rounds. You could tell he wasn't well trained for it at all and just didn't give any serious thought to the possibility that a kid with 1 fight might actually go the full 12.

However, I think it had a lot more to do with Salido just thinking there was nothing this kid with 1 pro fight, basically still an amateur, could do that would possibly get him the win, so he took it easy and didn't train. Or, at least he trained to just lose the weight rather than win a big championship fight. Even that didn't work too well though and ended up making him slower, tire easier and eventually get hurt briefly in the 12th.

Just shows you though, for everyone saying this kid could pass SRR as the GOAT, and that he was already one of the best in the world, for him to not be able to do anything against a declining, weight weakened, old Salido who didn't train properly, he still has a long way to go. Which is why you work your way up.

The real top FWs in the world would have had this version of Siri for lunch.

            Read the whole thing dip****!

Loma had 6 world series 'pro' bouts, that didn't count toward his pro record but were fought under full pro rules with no headgear etc. Practically, he has had 8 pro fights now. Officially, he's only had 2.

            Damn man...like what the ****?

Who are these guys? Salido would have a pretty good chance vs Jhonny, who's #1

                  • Loma has absolutely nothing to feel down or embarrassed about. Competing at the world class level in only his 2nd pro fight is commendable.

Salido though!! Way to go, ruining his comin out party

Well, I was still including Garcia too. Garcia would have kept this version of Salido down, though he's now moved up of course. Mares and Gonzalez would also have beaten this version of Salido. Compared to performances past, this was a very rough looking Salido. He didn't look well trained at all, but like I said earlier, whether that's just his age catching up or a lack of training for this fight, I really don't know.
