I actually the weight hurt him. He didn't look like the usual Salido in the 2nd half of the fight. That was highly unusual for him, and he clearly did try to lose too much weight.

I actually think he probably underestimated Loma, thought he would win it easy and didn't train very hard for it.

He's never missed weight before. It looked like it too. Struggled late and looked much more tired than he usually does.

It really was. He didn't look good in his first fight, he got touched up pretty good, appeared to lack power, even though he stopped the guy, you could just see that his punched had zero force behind them. The guy he fought was much much smaller than him. He is going to have a tough road in the pro's.

It's funny, but I've been saying this since his amateur days and been getting shat on about it for a long time.

I've consistently said he's got skills, but also lacks a bunch of stuff, both skill wise and physically, that would make the transition into the pros difficult for him. The amount of **** I got for it was unbelievable.

Yes, I'm sure he realised there was no point trying once he got down a certain amount. However, he's never missed weight before, he was very tired in the second half, which has always been his half of the fight, and he started getting hurt at the end too.

Maybe it's just his age and decline, but I do think maybe he didn't fully train as hard as usual for it.

loma had 1 fight without head gear & never been past 4 rounds... i'm pretty sure salido didn't exactly take him too seriously...

Look, Saliva went to his corner after each round and sat down more and more discouraged. He jumped for joy from surprise to find out he won the lottery. Saliva is slow, clumsy, predictable, and ponderously useless: a slug.

I can see now what Loma is going to have to do. He's going to have to simply murder every slug that is in front of him to get the win. He can't just box because only chosen few are allowed to box and win (Mayweather Jr. anyone?). If anything, Loma learned just how crooked these scumbags are.
