or you can argue that they are putting him in with someone from Floyd's stable where Floyd will probably be sitting ringside. I could see Lara wanting this because he thinks it puts him closer to Floyd

I don't see it being boring, Smith will try to box and get tagged repeatedly. I'm not fearful about the entertainment factor, it's the fact that it's a useless fight.Comment

imagine this card.
lara vs. ishe smith
carlos molina vs. austin trout
miguel vazquez vs. crawford.
i'd pay 400$ to see this spectacle.Comment

Definitely not.
Mayweather's not going to fight Lara or anyone above 147 in general unless it's for big money.
I don't really see why Floyd is putting Ishe in there with Lara when it's obviously a fight he's not going to win.Comment

Lara does not need this sort of fights at the moment, I don't know why Cuban fighters like Lara and Rigo get pit against difficult styles, they need to pit them against brawlers all day long. Especially for Lara would might be getting closer to a fight with Mayweather or Canelo.Comment

What is a more meaningful fight that Lara could take for this time, he could fight Bundrage but that is no different, he could probably fight Molina but I don't know that Lara would prefer that fight to Smith who is more in his wheelhouse I reckon.
I suppose he could go up and fight Quillin but that is another fight he doesn't really seem to want.Last edited by The Gambler1981; 02-26-2014, 03:48 PM.Comment
