Both come forward aggressive fighters. Hatton had much better foot and head movement though.

Maidana has more range, power, and better angles than hatton. Also a better boxing brain. It won't be that type of fight. It's going to be a brawl. And Ricky Fights harder. 3 minutes of every round as opposed to maidana who gasses sometimes, although is never not dangerous

There will be a point in the fight where both of them will give up worrying about their defense and just do what they know best and scrap. Hatton's inside game is superior to maidana's

Ricky edges Maidana is just about every department except for power, maybe they are on par with one another. I think Hatton beats him in a close, hard fought war. Certainly a fight that would have been huge if it ever happened.

i think el chino defends himself way better than ricky does and defense is something you really want to have against maidana. if you stand and trade with him, 9/10 you'll be stopped or seriously hurt. ricky's lack of defense would've cost him, imo. i can't picture him charging forward and being able to fight at the pace that he does whilst being caught with bombs on the chin repeatedly.

Personally I feel that you can't outbrawl Maidana. No one has ever beat Chino going toe to toe. I don't see Hatton beating Marcos that way.

Kostya Tszyu was old when Hatton beat him. Also, Tszyu is a one-shot-at-a-time puncher, so that was an easy fight for the Hitman

Unlike Tszyu, Maidana is a big puncher who throws in threes and fours. I see Hatton getting broken down and KO'd brutally.
