its not his fault there is no fighter with the skills of Chavez Sr and Leonard out there of course its my opinion. I cant name not one fighter who even comes close to Chavez Sr in this era and he is the guy with the less skills of the 2.If Mayweather would have fought the guys he needed to fight it still wouldn't change anything THIS ERA SUCKS and that goes for Pac cherry picking ass too
Has Floyd fought someone as good as Chavez Sr and Leonard?

No but honestly Floyd is really the only great fighter of his era you can put Pacquiao up there but everybody else Floyd beat.
De La Hoya
Marquez
Cotto
Mosley
Regardless of what anybody wants to say those were the best fighters of his era and he beat all of em if he beats Pacquiao he beat everybody he had to now this not the best era of boxing but he is the best of his classComment

No he was pretty clearly well passed his prime. Well passed it.At 32 years old, past prime yes, well pas it, i'm not sure.
Regardless, I just don't see what a prime 5'7", 66" reach Chavez, no matter how great, could do to such a strong, powerful, strong chinned, well defended, 5' 11" De La Hoya with mid 70s reach. I just don't see it
DLH would always be too big, too strong, too powerful, too technical for his size. It would just always be a slaughter and i;m not buying the whole "Chavez was too past it to gauge anything". All I need to see is the size difference, along with the special attributes of both fighters, to see that P4P, prime vs prime, DLH would always crush Chavez.
I'm not necessarily dis*****g what you're saying.
I'm saying their fight doesn't tell us anything like your assessment was saying.Comment
