Then Dude don't watch it. I know I am.this fight is just a couple of years too late,i just don't see the big deal of whoever wins this one, martinez is older, beat up,has had injuries and cotto well he's not that old but he's getting up there,he's been in fights where he just got beat up badly,i don't consider cotto or Martinez to be in their primes anymore, the younger stronger fighters are quillin and golovkin,i can see why cotto chose Martinez, like I said he's kind of a beat up fighter and it doesn't help he hasn't fought in a very long time eitherComment

You're right. Fighters with a slender build are more susceptible to flash knockdowns (Martinez, Wlad, etc.) As you say, in recent times Martinez has really only been hurt by Chavez, who is basically a light heavyweight. It took the enormous Chavez Jr. to hurt Martinez. Murray and Macklin were balance knockdowns. And Cotto was hurt by Pacquiao and Mayweather. You really think Pacquaio and Mayweather could hurt Martinez? I think it is pretty clear Martinez has a better chin than Cotto.
I would say definitely yes. There is no doubt in my mind Martinez would have sent Rios and Bradley to the convass. In fact, it's highly unlikely either of those guys would have heard the final bell.
Martinez is a much bigger man than Pacquiao.
I certainly wouldn't say 'much better'. Martinez may have been down in his last 3 fights, but Trout was down in his last 2. Any superiority Trout has in defense is dwarfed by the superiority Martinez has in offense. Cotto is going to have to dodge hard punches all night to get to Martinez.
I like Cotto. He is a good man, and I greatly admire his courage in taking on Martinez, but I have a very hard time seeing how he is going to win this.Comment

Both guys that dropped Trout are better than anyone Sergio has faced in recent memory, including Pwill and PavlikYou're right. This is what I keep thinking. It's one thing to try and land punches versus a guy who can't really hurt you; it's another thing to try and land punches versus a guy who can.I certainly wouldn't say 'much better'.
