The 1 pound catch weight really is pointless lol. But either way it will atleast be fair game and a hell of a fight.

Macklin, as you yourself said, was arguably top level. Thing is, Pacquiao beat down De la Hoya and Cotto through accumulation, not one punch power. He was able to hurt Cotto, but not put him down for the 10 count. If you want proof of Martinez's power, look no further than the Williams KO.
Bob barker is crap,(iknow his name)if pac would of hit p-will coming in like did he would of koed him too imo...pavlik was cut okay, maklin was sc****d,okay but look at margaritos face, cottos face,de la hoya s face, mosely face, marquez face i mean cmon man pac messes faces up...idk we agree to disagree on this subject.

I luv all this talk. I'm happy to see Sergio is the

            topic again!
But with all things being equal, Cotto is just in this for a payday.
Think about it. He's in the ring with a p4p slick, & deceptive puncher.
One punch power if he connects. Martinez moves with grace, and the fact that
he has the reach, and can take a punch from guys who weigh anywhere to 15 to 20lbs more that him. Miguel is way over his head on this one.
He's not in the ring this time with bloated WW's but a MW, who can still move like a Jr.WM, and punch like MW.
Does Cotto really wants to dance with this dude?? Or take the $$ that comes along with the butt whipping???
In the words of Howard Cosell he will 'get a boxing lesson".

Cotto is the better technical boxer of the two...Martinez is a mover with limited defensive skills, he relies on reflexes. If Cotto was a plodder he'd have no chance, but Cotto has above average foot and hand speed. Cotto will be the fastest fighter Martinez has faced. This will force Martinez into an even more frantic pace than usual. Martinez gets hit in every fight and hes never faced a fighter as offensively gifted as Cotto. Cotto's inside game is going to be a nightmare for Martinez.

Hes just much better defensively than Sergio... he smothered and turned Cotto, something Sergio wont do.
