Martinez definitely hits harder than Pacquiao. Pacquiao has shown that at 147, his power is only good. Pacquiao has never put somebody down for the 10 count at 147. Martinez has hurt and stopped top level middleweights and junior middleweights.

Good to see hbo with some of the big events again. Nobody can add the "big fight" feel to a fight like they can. Add another fight party to the first half of the year

The version of Pacquiao that Cotto fought was arguably the best ever. Could he hurt Martinez at 160? Possibly not. At 150-54, absolutely.

As for Mayweather, I always thought people were exaggerating a bit when they said he "hurt" Cotto in the 12th round of their fight. He landed a couple of his cleanest shots in that round but he hurt him about as much as Murray hurt Martinez.

And regardless of whether or not Cotto can "hurt" Martinez, he is certainly capable of knocking him down multiple times considering all of the "balance knockdowns" Martinez has suffered to lesser boxers than Cotto in the past.

Yeah, even more now that he has a bad knee. His balance is not gonna be his bigger asset nor is his chin.

For me is a very difficult fight to call, either of them have good chances of winning.

Martinez's punches don't damage people's faces? Tell that to Pavlik, Macklin, and especially Chavez. He stopped Barker, who would go on to beat Geale (no worse than #3 middleweight in the world at the time). Dzinziruk was one of the best 154 lbers at the time. Macklin, as you yourself said, was arguably top level. Thing is, Pacquiao beat down De la Hoya and Cotto through accumulation, not one punch power. He was able to hurt Cotto, but not put him down for the 10 count. If you want proof of Martinez's power, look no further than the Williams KO.
