Ward and his team don't want to accept that Golovkin is his peer and is a better draw than Ward. They don't want to have a fair purse split which is why GGG team chooses to stay away at this time.

It took Golovkin all of 9 months to get to Ward's position. He's probably already a bigger star, and is only going to grow from here.

I don't care if Ward doesn't have any fans. That doesn't take away from the fact that he is one of the two best boxers in the world today. Ward would eat this dude. It doesn't take much to look good against a bunch of tomato can which is what GGG has done.

I know Ward is a fighter first but being that he still works part time for HBO, and will in all likelihood be an HBO commentator when his boxing days are done -- is it smart for him to be ****ting on GGG all the time?

Maybe Andre getting a tad jelly that HBO is pushing him harder to be an attraction than Ward.

Anyway I remember when they were cool. On HBO's 2 Days Golovkin they were real friendly; GGG was saying how Ward was the best flat out in and around the weight class. And GGG's team was talking about how much respect they had for him. Now both teams be talking mad ish lol

I don't see how anyone can say Ward is talking ish. The man clearly gives GGG his props as a rising star. He simply said he is not there yet, and that his team needs to stop running off at the mouth then back tracking. He said nothing negative about GGG. And I have never read anything negative that he said about GGG.

No, we aren't being force fed that GGG is a star. We were force fed that Chad Dawson, Berto, Devon, Broner etc. were stars, but GGG actually is a star, and not because promoters and network executives say so. He is exiting and people love watching his fights.

Its true GGG hasnt beat anyone to support his status...but at the same time he is popular to a certain extent. If Ward wants to prove people wrong he needs to start fighting more.
