No, we aren't being force fed that GGG is a star. We were force fed that Chad Dawson, Berto, Devon, Broner etc. were stars, but GGG actually is a star, and not because promoters and network executives say so. He is exiting and people love watching his fights.
No GGG isn't a star. And yes, we are being force fed that he is. He hasn't beaten anybody. As I've said and will continue to say. He and Ward fought in the same Olympic Games. They've been pros nearly the same amount of time. GGG's best win in nearly a decade is Matthew Macklin. That's not a star quality resume. Who gives a **** if he's exciting to watch. So was Butterbean. F.uck outta here with that bull****.

        First - can crushing machine.

It's not fair towards boxing community to leave us without this great mismatch clash Ward-Golovkin.

Star = an entertainer people like to watch and one who generates high tv ratings. Resume has jack and sh.it to do with it. And people dig GGG. Deal with it.

So according to that logic, you contradicted yourself in the original post. Because Broner's ratings have been just as high, if not higher than GGG's. Therefore he's a star, right???

Then why is it that he can't draw flies to **** and makes one-third of what Ward makes?

Stars are Manny, Floyd, Klits. There are not many stars in boxing.

                  GGG is popular.

The whole "force fed" thing is utter, utter BS.
The reason HBO is fully behind GGG is that he is an unbeaten machine with exceptional power. He has produced some of the most brutal knockouts seen in the last year or so and makes for great entertainment.

He hasn't fought an A- level guy yet, but that's not for want of trying. Andre needs to stop drinking that Haterade. HBO haven't hand picked some random bum and built him up, they see talent and star power in this guy and that's where the money is.
