Just to be clear, I think Bika beats Golovkin at 168, so it's not double standards on that front.
Lara has a middleweight win over Williams, who was top 5 at middleweight at the time.

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems like people are missing the fact that Golovkin has repeatedly said he will quite happily fight anywhere from 154 to 168
So there's no reason why he can't do 154, he is happy to do it

Boxrec has that fight under the 154 limit?

Calling out doesnt mean that you are gonna fight him. Lara wants to be relevant, and calling ggg would skyrocket his name.

Why dont he call out the kid chocolate? Lara knows ggg is on hbo and nothing in hell would it be made, except he signs with tr or hbo. Lol..

Anyways he gets destroyed. He'll be in the ring with 4x angulos power and relentless pressure.

To some people yes they should say that.

Personally no it isn't because there is no way that fight can get made, calling for a fight which there is no way it could happen or even real interest in even trying to make it happen (really trying and not window dressing to look like you are trying, which a lot of people often confuse) is not really anything.

Not that it wouldn't be a solid worthwhile fight if it took place, I think it would be Golovkin's best win and would be Lara's also. I would like to see it but it just isn't realistic in the world we live in.

Well if the fight doesn't happen due to network conflict. I don't think we can blame both fighters.

It was a 155 catchweight. Both came under. Williams was 170lb on fight night.

If Lara and his team say they can and will go to HBO for one fight (With HBO's approval) and Golovkin doesn't want the fight then I'd say it's a "duck". But Lara and his team know they have no intention to actually fight Golovkin so they won't go as far as saying they'll go to HBO for one fight.
