which one is it???? which one is it?????
You are talking about 2 fighters that are light years apart in popularity. Just because you or I know who Lara is, it's a fact that 99/100 people who only order boxing shows casually have no idea who Lara is.
GGG vs Floyd could be worked out between the networks. HBO is not gonna give up any rights to let Showtime televise GGG on their network against Lara and that's a fact. This fight would have to be on HBO and that's that.

Like Lara has never fought at the middleweight limit, let alone him being an amateur welterweight.

Whatever though, if you think he easily makes the step up and slots in above a top 10 MW that's your opinion.

Personally, I'd like to see some evidence before I credit him with that. Not that long since I saw him struggle and dropped against the middle of the road LMW.

I am surprised to see well respected posters here looking as clueless as those with inferior boxing knowledge.

HBO has exclusive broadcast rights to Golovkin's fights in North America. In simpler terms, he cannot fight in any other network; specially the rival one.

And I just can't help but laugh at those who actually believe Lara stands a chance against Golovkin. This discussion shows who truly knows about boxing and who doesn't.

Anybody who is well educated can easily see that Lara would get knocked out by Golovkin.

If GGG does beat Lara he is still going to be considered overrated. Why? Because he fought Lara a LMW. Either weight - Golovkin wins we'll hear 'but Lara lost to Carlos Molina, was dropped by Angulo'

That doesn't mean I'm not giving Lara his chances, he is tremendously skilled and his style would give Golovkin so many problems.

We were discussing Andy Lee. I think he's a lot more proven at MW than Lara, but you think Lara would beat him?

Just to be clear, I think Bika beats Golovkin at 168, so it's not double standards on that front.
