Yea I think Maidana will definitely cause Floyd problems because he's going to apply relentless pressure with hard punches in all directions and Maidana is not going to try to outbox Floyd the same way Canelo tried.

So what, is Maidana not an easy fight then?

Maidana was getting pretty well schooled by khan until he finally managed to land a decent shot in like round 9, even if he lands that shot against Floyd (unlikely) Floyd rode out a bigger shot against Mosley and went on to dominate.

Maidana got taken to school by a very average floyd rip off in Devon Alexander, of 30 rounds scored by three judges, he won 1.

1.. out of 30.... against Devon Alexander.

I mean come on now. This is a gatti level fight for Floyd, Maidana is going to look like an ape in there, Maidana wont be able to land a glove on floyd, and floyd will land everything he throws, en route to a mid rounds stoppage

Hate on Khan all you like, but lets be real here, Maidana is just as easy a fight, if not easier (i'd probably pick khan to win one of the first two rounds at least)

"The Hate or Like me but you'll watch Me" only works if Mayweather fights someone the public thinks can KO Floyd. Floyd has a lot Haters that don't care about a "competitive fight" but ultimately floyd will win. They want Floyd KO'ed and Khan aint doing that.

Mayweather haters wont vote for Khan, the risk of khans chin is too much for them.
Which leaves people who would want to watch Floyd against anybody, Khan/British followers and boxing's 10% true sport fans that know styles make fights.

1. they want Maidana getting a big payday, he deserves it.
2. they don't want Broner to get Revenge, he came back pretty strong.
3. they don't want Mayweather to KO Khan, he's too chinny.
4. There could be the slimmest of chances Mayweather gets KO'ed, happened to Pac.
5. they wanted Mayweather to fight Manny.
6. they know the fight will be boring and want his fights to flop.

I think Maidana would be tougher and has done more to earn it. Khan is 2-2 in his last 4. Would be a joke if he got a Mayweather fight now. But we all know Mayweather does not like challenging fights so it will probably be Khan. Boxing is a joke these days because of these matchups.

No Maidana will not be competitive, but neither will khan. That's why those are the options because Floyd only steps in with guys that have zero shot of winning, over the hill, smaller guys & way past prime.
