I don't give a hoot who he fights; however, I think it is strange that people are making out as though Mayweather would avoid Maidana. When a list of acceptable fighters was published and Maidana's name was on the list, many responded with disgust. What has changed since then? A victory over Broner, a guy most people viewed as an overrated hype job? Spare me.

I'm just not interested in either fight. Neither of them have what it takes to make a competitive fight and either of them scoring the upset would surprise me as much as walking in my room to see Rihanna stark naked and ready to go.

No, I can't picture Maidana landing much of anything.

        erm.....

So what, is Maidana not an easy fight then?

Maidana was getting pretty well schooled by khan until he finally managed to land a decent shot in like round 9, even if he lands that shot against Floyd (unlikely) Floyd rode out a bigger shot against Mosley and went on to dominate.
The fight with Khan was 4 years ago. Khan was at his best, Maidana was not nearly as good as he is today.
He has improved in all aspects with Robert Garcia. He's stronger, and MUCH smarter. He doesnt Some say Khan is faster. GTFO. GlassChin is fast, as Broner how well it worked for him being fast and skilled.
Yes, I think Maidana vs Mayweather will be competitive. Floyd will have to use all his tricks, but Maidana wont give away the fight and there's a lot more he can do to win than Khan who has been looking awful in his last few fights.

Maidana got taken to school by a very average floyd rip off in Devon Alexander, of 30 rounds scored by three judges, he won 1.

1.. out of 30.... against Devon Alexander.

I mean come on now. This is a gatti level fight for Floyd, Maidana is going to look like an ape in there, Maidana wont be able to land a glove on floyd, and floyd will land everything he throws, en route to a mid rounds stoppage

Hate on Khan all you like, but lets be real here, Maidana is just as easy a fight, if not easier (i'd probably pick khan to win one of the first two rounds at least)
Agreed..Maidana will come to fight for sure but he won't win a single round in the fight. He won't land any of those looping left hands he hit Broner with. Khan will win a round or 2 until the right hand he doesn't see has him break dancing all over the place.

Maidana is a tough fighter & has power... khan has speed & has No chin... Maidana @ welterweight is still more dangerous than khan.

For 4 or 5 rounds and Maidana would try to land something big. Khan would be competitive for 1 round. He has no belief in himself what so ever.

maidana will get shutout 12-0 but khan will have a lot of 10-8/10-7 rounds so it really doesn't make a difference if he wins the first two. he will lose by a lot more points if he can even make it to the cards.

People are giving Maidana way too much credit after beating a very hittable Adrien Broner. Just like they did after Lucas beat Peterson. Broner lacked ring IQ and Defense, always has. Neither is a good fight but I'd rather watch Maidana give it a shot for a few early rounds.

I don't think Floyd would stop either one. I think his hands are brittle and he isn't punching hard. You have to hit these guys several times with hard punches to even think out knocking them out and that includes Khan. Floyd would do what he always does, circle, make the other fighters miss, land jabs and potshots and wait for the Floyds groupies to acclaim it a UD, masterpiece.

I think the argument (at least for me) is not whether Maidana is an easier fight than Khan, but rather Maidana is a more deserving opponent based on his resume at 147. But I do think that Maidana is an easier opponent. If Khan would have fought Devon in December like he was supposed to then we wouldn't be having this conversation.
