Do people think Maidana would be competitive against Floyd?

don't you know? khan showed tremendous heart in that fight, he didn't run at all and ate maidana's punches like they were made of candy.

Maidana got up and gave Khan Hell, most would have been stopped by that perfect shot by Khan,. Showing that pic only makes Maidana look better. It was a great fight and both deserve respect for it.

Valid point. And you know, Maidana seems to thrive in that heavy underdog role. Stylistically it seems as if he'll lose damn near every round, but it's not that simple. That's why they go through with the actual fights after all.

Fights aren't won on paper.

I'm certainly not gonna to be the one to go out on THAT particular limb (Maidana beating Floyd), but would I be surprised if Maidana performed much better than the overall boxing public expects? No, I wouldn't.

Great post, i don't think he will beat Floyd but i do feel ironically he will perform and do better vs Floyd than he did vs Devon. That was a really bad performance and peeps keep going on about it with regards to the Floyd fight but Maidana is in a better place now and in much better form as well.

Between the choices Floyd has carefully cherry picked, Maidana is by far the best. Khan has done NOTHING to deserve a Mayweather fight as opposed to Maidana.

Wasn't Roach gonna stop the fight after that terrible round? A KD in the first round in a 12 round war is hardly anything to brag about, on top of that, the fight was 3 years ago and Khan has since fell off badly while Maidana lost once but recuperated big time.
