he takes punches when he comes forward. he's already in his 30's. his style is certainly less inclined for a long career than a boxer. as me moves up in weight, he'll be fighting guys who hit him harder and have longer lasting chins.

mod don't even know when punches are landing . boxing styles lend themselves to long careers, and pressure styles usually don't. it's time for that resignation, bro. you've seen too many winters. go shovel some snow.
Depends what kind of pressure fighter you are. GGG is a patient pressure fighter who picks his shots and tries to block or dodge what's coming back, he's not like Rios for example. I think to key to lasting long is how much punishment you take, and GGG hasn't taken much so far, partly because he has an OK defense, mainly because his fights don't last very long.

      I don't agree, he's a top 10 MW. It's not the ideal fight, but it's a passable one.
The fight was close because chavez is a slob who doesn't take the sport seriously. SOon as he got it going-**** sleep.

Lee 's dubious ranking aside, he should not be in the ring with GGG at this stage of their careers. Lee has no chance. you know this.

"Passable"? Since when is a one sided fight like this pssable?

Disappointing opponent if its for real...but at least Lee is a real middleweight.

"Passable"? Cmon weebler, since when has that been good enogh for a fighter who people say is so good?
When the alternatives (mandatory included) all turn down the fight.

Lee's a top 10 MW, a decent option for the time being. Hopefully the fight after that is against Geale or Murray (as opposed to Kirkland).

Oh and Geale said no, Muray said he couldn't fight in the US cos of visa issues and GGGs team and HBO want the fight in the US. And that's about as far as the negotiations went before both sides moved on.
At this point its not about the visa with Murray. In the past 6 months he was offered to fight GGG in Canada and Monaco. Most recently he said he's not going after the GGG despite mando status, he wants Sturm

Andre ward didn't turn the fight down did he?

Wth kirkland in the running for the undercard spot it looks like they are trying to set up a match.

For someone who is being labeled (incorrectly IMO) as a top 5 p4p fighter according to his network, how will it look IF his first 3 fights of 2014 are Adama, Lee and Kirkland?

              That can't be accpetable.

Yeah, I don't like the Kirkland fight either. Hoping Geale is true to his word and that fight gets made instead.

                Adama-Lee-Geale-Murray/Martinez is a better 2014.

Is he? Wow, that's a joke.

That's Stevens and now Lee who are Top 10 MW who absolutely shouldn't be.

This "top blah blah" crap has got to stop. Judge the MAN not his ranking. Its ketchup on rotten meat. Sometimes fighters choose bad opponents and its not the end of the world to call a spade a spade.
