I don't remember anything terrible happening to Matthysse. He got his eye hurt and lost a very close fight to Garcia who is now considered the best 140 pounder alive and is in most top 10 pfp lists. Most fans still consider Matthysse then 2nd best 140 pounder alive so he is not exactly an overrated bum. I would still pick him to beat Garcia in a rematch.

He is ranked #1 by Ring Magazine, Boxrec, Boxing Scene and just about every other organization that ranks fighters. Do they all have brain rot too??? Martinez must see something good about GGG. He has been Martinez's #1 challenger for two years and Martinez avoids him like the plague. If GGG ever loses a fight then your opinion will have some validity to it. As long as he keeps knocking everybody out I think he is the best fighter alive today and I am going to continue to enjoy being a GGG fan.
Right....Martinez has had two fights in the last two years...one where he beat the WBC champion and took back the belt that was stolen from him and the other one against a top 10 contender who many thought should also be a champion after fighting Sturm.

You make it sound like Sergio has been scrambling around trying to find anyone and everyone besides GGG to fight when the truth is he has been on the sidelines not fighting anyone for the most part due to injuries and surgeries, which I assume is why so many GGG enthusiasts want this fight so badly right now.

Stop with this, Ward does not want to fight him. He has never said he wants to fight him, it's always a "down the line" or a "year's time".

Flomos want Ward to fight him, that's not the same thing.

Actually Golovkin is the one who said he'd fight anyone from 154 to 168.....but when asked about Ward he says not now.

Ward would beat Golovkin. Golovkin would beat Mayweather. Actually GGG beats anyone 168 and lower except Ward. Floyd fans know this, that's why they push for GGG to fight Andre, although to be honest, I don't think its fair for Floyd to fight Golovkin

Two to three weeks ago Team Golovkin said they were staying at 160 for the foreseeable, it was reported everywhere, their only exception to that is Floyd at 154.

Hagler/Monzon/Hopkins would all have close to or better KO% if they ran through his last 29 opponents.

Say he fights Andre Ward and loses, because he can't get any MW fights. He gets the L against Ward, goes back down to MW because he's seen as vulnerable now. Fights Quillin/Martinez and beats both.. that wouldn't be too bad right?

The problem with Golovkin is he's 31 years old.
