  • Salido was a pure ***** from the weigh in until the end when he was almost put down. I give Loma a guy in his second pro fight far more credit for loss then I do Salido. I think Loma won the fight also.

With that said, I mentioned this before the fight. Lomanchenko in his first fight showed nothing that suggests he is a superstar or he is above the rest in talent. He looked the same way tonight, and even more average against a tougher opponent. There just appears to be nothing special there at all. I this will get hate, but I just don't see a two time Olympic champ and a 396-1 amateur. Nothing suggests he was that good. Just nothing even close to that.

This just goes to show the extreme difference in the amateur game. I like the new rules. I hope it closes that gap a bit.

      Make the cut??

So you were expecting Loma to win??

Did you not see this coming??

And BTW , the bold just gives it away. All of you!! Lmaooo

The guy gave the password to his agenda away. This has to be a record. Too bad HBO did give praise and hyped Rigo. Too bad he doesn't have a serious fan base or isn't a big draw.

      Awww , poor baby....

      Hea baby
Nobody has said anything bout Loma not bouncing back. The HBO hype must have really torn you emotionally.

        • I don't hate Lomachenko and not sure what Rigo has to do with anything really. Just saying what I see and I don't personally think he will transition to the pros well at all.

You realise I can like a fighter yet still be critical of them right? The fact is he didn't live upto the hype and tonight showed me he doesn't belong at world level. Two olympic golds and so on and not at any point of that fight was he outboxing a shopworn Salido who with all due respect too looked far past his best. Like I said before tonight he is far from the finished article and needs time to adapt to the pros. In fact I don't think its even a case of a few adjustments, he needs to improve a lot and add to his game if he is to do well in the pros.

If you have no jab in the pros and not the power to keep guys honest and your inside game is just clinching and pushing then you're going to have serious problems especially against a solid, experienced pressure fighter like Salido who loves it in the trenches.

His footwork and movement is phenomenal.

To go 12 with an overweight Salido in his 2nd (or 9th) fight is kind of an achievement in itself.

                Who's they?

Fellow Rigo club members? You are making this club seem huge. GTFO with your BS.

First time you see Lomachenko? Please, maybe like your first time seeing Loma get his ass handed to him.

Anyway, I wish Loma the best but he better steer clear of Rigo OR Gamboa for that matter which was able to handle Salido quite easily while in his prime.

So he was right at home fighting Salido in just his second pro fight huh?

And strangely , Rigo has nothing to do with this. But yet is his lovers who I see posting the boldest and most outrageous comments.

Like the ones I already posted. "no talent" "overachiever" etc etc....

He won two gold medals , is 26 and he doesn't belong at the pro level?? So I guess he should just , retire??

What exactly are you trying to say with that?

And he had to outbox him?

Because , everyone has to fight that way?

I can be critical of Lomachenko too. I saw many flaws that can be fixed. I saw he was way in over his head and looked lost at times. Lack of experience. Everyone should have expected that. I see a lot of potential. I see a lot of food things. I think not only will he bounce back. But will realize why pro boxers need to take steps. And progressively fight better opposition as they go on.

Nothing to be ashamed of in my opinion. Lesson learned. Just because Rigo was able to outbox his opponents doesn't mean hell be able to do it.

And the style man. The style is everything. Why is everyone throwing that out the window all the time. Rigo cannot win fights any other way , so why does Lomachenko have to outbox opponents. I think he has a better offense than Rigo.

Don't let the counter punching ability of Rigo and his ring generalship fool you. That is NOT what I'm talking about when referring to offense.

Lomachenko will learn and so will his team. I think hell manage to have a good career.
