Fellow Rigo club members? You are making this club seem huge. GTFO with your BS.

First time you see Lomachenko? Please, maybe like your first time seeing Loma get his ass handed to him.

Anyway, I wish Loma the best but he better steer clear of Rigo OR Gamboa for that matter which was able to handle Salido quite easily while in his prime.

The bold , the bold is what motivates you , what blinds you and what has you and a few others talking all this ****.

      I don't understand?

Are you guys nervous or jealous? Yeah , one of the two.

"HBO no quiere a Rigo , voy a llorar. Y presiento que a Lomachenko si lo van a querer mucho"

      That's you.....

Rigo schools Lomachenko. There , you can go to sleep now!!!

And strangely , Rigo has nothing to do with this. But yet is his lovers who I see posting the boldest and most outrageous comments.

Like the ones I already posted. "no talent" "overachiever" etc etc....

He won two gold medals , is 26 and he doesn't belong at the pro level?? So I guess he should just , retire??

What exactly are you trying to say with that?

And he had to outbox him?

Because , everyone has to fight that way?

I can be critical of Lomachenko too. I saw many flaws that can be fixed. I saw he was way in over his head and looked lost at times. Lack of experience. Everyone should have expected that. I see a lot of potential. I see a lot of food things. I think not only will he bounce back. But will realize why pro boxers need to take steps. And progressively fight better opposition as they go on.

Nothing to be ashamed of in my opinion. Lesson learned. Just because Rigo was able to outbox his opponents doesn't mean hell be able to do it.

And the style man. The style is everything. Why is everyone throwing that out the window all the time. Rigo cannot win fights any other way , so why does Lomachenko have to outbox opponents. I think he has a better offense than Rigo.

Don't let the counter punching ability of Rigo and his ring generalship fool you. That is NOT what I'm talking about when referring to offense.

Lomachenko will learn and so will his team. I think hell manage to have a good career.

It clearly benefited him. Salido has been declining for some time now, but I can't decide whether this fight was because of decline or just a lack of training. I think it might have been a bit of both.

First time he's ever missed weight and it became the only time I remember him looking worse in the second half, and tiring badly down the stretch. It doesn't take a genius to see the correlation between the two.

The Salido of two years would have stopped Lomachenko tonight. It makes me wonder though if Salido simply thought there was no chance that a guy with only 1 fight could do anything at all to him, so he slacked off on the training a little and took it easy, content in his mind that no amateur in the world could beat him. He did not look good at all, certain nothing like the Salido we have become used to over the years.

As I said, whether that's decline from hard fights and age, or whether he genuinely didn't train as hard, I don't know. I think it was probably a little of both. A lack of real hard training and his recent decline, and so we saw him fade where he normally gets stronger, gas out where he normally comes on, and look vulnerable where he normally looks strong.

Loma did well considering, but the signs were there all along. Most people just ignored them and laughed at those of us who pointed them out saying he's not going to translate to the pros so well.

            • Just watched the fight, Lomachenko 100% would have won with 5 fights under his belt, he was just too scared on pacing himself and was reluctant to punch when Salido was throwing body shots, with some adequate warm up fights he would have done what he did in the last 2 earlier.

That ended up working in Loma's favour quite clearly. It didn't help Salido that he tried to boil down, and probably just didn't train enough. It helped Loma, considering that normally Salido gets much stronger in the second half and turns it up. Instead he looked old, gassed, and ill prepared. Highly unusual for him, and combined with the missed weight showed that he didn't take this fight seriously (against a 1 fight pro, I'm not surprised) or that the sudden weight cut weakened him badly.

It ended up being lucky that Loma faced an overweight Salido that got tired and couldn't keep up his usual pressure, pace or power. In fact, it helped him to nearly win the fight.

Take into account that, and the apparent 297 low blows, and the VERY LEAST should have been a draw.

                    • Ughhhh, pulled out of Salido last minute because of the overweight thing.

Plus I was able to DL and watch both fights without ruining it for me this morning after working all day Saturday.... so success there.
