Yes, he made a deal for his per fight minimum..Which they said he wanted more then he was getting..I would have to think that puts him around that 2 mill mark..

If he loses-he goes back to making certain amounts. What if the ppv bombs? How will TR continue to pay him 2 mil for TV fights on HBO when HBO is reducing their budget? Now that $2 mil aint happening, he has no fanbase, and a promoter who admits he isn't great at marketing him to his built in fanbase.

Look, I got a wife and 2 young kids. I'm taking the $6 mil as well so I am not faulting him. That said, if he is confident he beats manny, this decision is confusing given the opportunities a win opens up.
If Bradley beats Pacquiao clearly then perhaps he thinks that will cement himself as the main man on HBO in the welterweight division and open himself up as one of the networks very biggest stars. Of course whether any of that is likely to happen is another matter but I can imagine him seeing it that way. Also there could be a third Pacquiao fight. Fighting Mayweather would presumably get him his largest purse but perhaps not that substantially larger than some other fights and it wouldn't be guaranteed to happen anyway. I'm not sure if the grass is really any greener on the other side.

Right. So now that Timmy went and killed any chance for a Floyd fight. Its now time for you to jump his d1ckbone and say Floyd's ducking him. Please, please shoot yourself in the face. I told you. If you need help, holla at cha boy.

WE agree tim should stay given the $6 mil. I'm just saying he and posters can't defend it by saying he doesn't know what would happen if he left.

Its the same thing as the Khan fight. Tim is taking sure money rather than taking the risk he might lose and never get that kind of payday. Its ok.

Meanwhile, odh, cotto, and floyd (who wasn't a big draw when he left tr) all made 10 figures for fights upon leaving.

If he stays with TR he can lose and be ok-if he doesn't he has to win. Thats a lot of pressure that could affect how he performs in the ring.
cotto only made huge money against floyd.
he made only a mill or two each against trout and rodriguez. and this is cotto, the largest ppv draw outside floyd and manny.

tim, with his small fanbase, even if he wins the mayweather lottery, isn't sure of getting 8-figure paydays.

I've always assumed that For Bradley to get another PAC payday that he had to sign an extension, it's TR/Arum's MO.
Now that he is saying he signed the extension on his own free will, it sounds to me like Bradley is worried about losing to PAC (as he should).

The condition of the extension and GBP's offer, if any, would look a lot different if he was to lose to PAC in the rematch.

but put yourself in his position. will you turn down a guaranteed millions with a company thats been treating ya well and giving u all the big name stars
or...go to golden boy where ur NOT the top dog, u have to fight other hungry fighters for MUCH LESS money guaranteed.

Surely you would fight Pacquaio and if you win, you let the offers come flooding in.

Let me guess...."What if I lose?"
Exactly, I've always suspected that Floyd did the same to get the Showtime deal.

Well I kind of admire him for saying that.

I don't understand how any man, who has to support a family, can fault Tim Bradley for making this decision. It was the right decision that any logical person would have made. You don't turn down guaranteed money over the uncertain especially when the other side has no track record of taking a fighter with a small fanbase and turning him into a headliner.
