we wont know what the long term benefits will be but we also dont know what tim will get if he was to leave TR. so its a risk both ways but one is actually putting the money up front while the other u have no idea what u'll be getting. its a no brainer why he choose to stay. im not saying everything is gonna be all perfect with TR because like u said we dont know what the future holds for him but as of right now he's getting a guarantee amount, cant say the same if he was to leave TR and go to gbp.

Pay cut compared to 6mill?? How many fighters are making 6mill a fight..At the end of the day, if Bradley makes 2mill a fight he's in a select group..Not many others can say their making 2mill a fight..but tim is getting $6 mil because he's a star he's getting $6 mil because Manny just sold 450k and JMM won budge. None of us know what the long term benefits are-all we know is he gets $6 mil now.
Win or lose, unless he fights floyd next, he is surely taking a paycut.Comment

Tim appears to be a man who prefers not to take risks in his financial life. I'm cool with that.we wont know what the long term benefits will be but we also dont know what tim will get if he was to leave TR. so its a risk both ways but one is actually putting the money up front while the other u have no idea what u'll be getting. its a no brainer why he choose to stay. im not saying everything is gonna be all perfect with TR because like u said we dont know what the future holds for him but as of right now he's getting a guarantee amount, cant say the same if he was to leave TR and go to gbp.Comment

Do you think he will be making $2m per fight if/after he loses to Pacquiao?Comment

dude and u dont know what he'll be making if he was to leave. all im saying is TR is already promising tim what he'll be getting. tim has no idea what he'll be making going with gbp. so u want him to leave TR and end up with a ****ty deal with gbp? i can see tim leaving if he was at the end of his career but tim is just getting started and TR is already putting the money out there for him.Comment

if my job is offering to give me a $10 increase on top of what im already getting which is a good salary but then i've heard that this other job has an opening for a position that i "might" be qualify for would u leave ur job and take that risk? no way.Comment

I agree rome. But Tim seems to be planning his future as if he is going to lose.
If he didn't have to resign and he beats manny ( as I assume he thinks he will) by winning he wll get more than $6 mil in a floyd fight. History shows us GBP/floyd make big fights when TR is no involved but there is no guarantee. SO I get tim's decision.
If he loses-he goes back to making certain amounts. What if the ppv bombs? How will TR continue to pay him 2 mil for TV fights on HBO when HBO is reducing their budget? Now that $2 mil aint happening, he has no fanbase, and a promoter who admits he isn't great at marketing him to his built in fanbase.
Look, I got a wife and 2 young kids. I'm taking the $6 mil as well so I am not faulting him. That said, if he is confident he beats manny, this decision is confusing given the opportunities a win opens up.Comment

lol u outta ur mind if you thing any fighter can do what cotto is doing ! cotto has a fanbase Bradley doesnt. cotto can pack a gym anywhere he goes from NY to Orlando to puerto rico to vegas. what r u talking about ? its takes fanbase to do that. Wake up he made the right choiceIf that is the case,, why in the hell did you resign with an extension,,,
He just should have fought manny, not re-upped and became a free agent like cotto,, He could still do fights with Top rank, but he could also get the floyd fight or GBP fighters like broner, maidana, khan, thurman, ghost, etcComment
