    So why sign the extension?

Surely you would fight Pacquaio and if you win, you let the offers come flooding in.

Let me guess...."What if I lose?"

but tim is getting $6 mil because he's a star he's getting $6 mil because Manny just sold 450k and JMM won budge. None of us know what the long term benefits are-all we know is he gets $6 mil now.

Win or lose, unless he fights floyd next, he is surely taking a paycut.

ortiz aint gonna see the same amount he got fighting floyd, gurerrero wont either, cotto aint gonna be seeing 10 figures type amount. the only one that can still make close to that is canelo and thats a big maybe and its basically because of his fan base but he wont be seeing those type amount anytime soon. all those guys took that one shot to get a fight with floyd and now they're back to making chump change. why would tim risk leaving TR just to get that one shot with floyd when TR is promising him more if he stay?

I agree with you Dirk. Its very similar ro the Khan situation. Tim is taking guaranteed short term money rather than trisk losing and kill any chance to earn significantly more long term.

In this environment, ith a family, I can't blame him.

As much as people claim to not care, we know at this point it isn't true.

He just signed to fight a high profile rematch, so I'm sure he'll have a lot of quotes to make articles out of.

you don't know what would happen down the road dude. your posts suggest things will never change. we know that isn't the case.

TR also isn't promising him more. they are only promising him this amount now. win or lose he's likely taking a pay cut.

I wish he would dominate the golden boy roster, assuming he beats Pacquiao.
