Ward should not be calling out Golovkin unless he himself is willing to go down. Calling out smaller guys makes you look bad. It doesn't mean he isn't willing to fight Golovkin and the fight can't happen.

In cases between between fighters in different divisions, it should up to the smaller guy to call out the bigger guy. It should be up to Golovkin to put up the same stink about fighting fighting Ward as he has about Martinez.

Ward has nothing to do next. Zero options. If Golovkin called him out, there would be absolutely nothing stopping it from happening. Send them an offer. Then tell the whole world after that Ward is ducking him if he doesn't' accept like he does for every other opponent that refuses a Golovkin offer. Instead he'll fight a 154 pounder next while claiming he has to clear up the 160 division before fighting Ward.

The ploy was that he's willing to fight anybody at 168, not that he's willing to fight 168. Bums like Rodriguez are acceptable. Ward is not.

Does anyone outside of a select few really believe Golovkin can get down to a weight he's not been at in over a decade?

Sanchez talks about but I get the sense he's just talking.

They know Golovkin going down to that weight is a terrible idea and close to impossible in a healthy manner.

        • Ward just wants to fight someone. He has no options at 168

And it's not as if he has to stay at 168 if he fights ward. He can still easily come back down to 160 after Ward and continue to chase those fights. That's better than fighting 154 pounders while waiting for someone to step up. Golovkin will fight the Rodriguezes and Chavezes of the world at 168, but not Ward?

As for those saying Ward needs to come down, Golovkin is the one who said he'll fight anyone at 168. Ward is the champion, not Golovkin. Why would anyone sacrifice themselves to fight a random paper champion?
            I agree with this

Because Froch holds two of the super middleweight belts and Ward vs Froch in the UK would be a huge payday for Ward.
So if he is willing to come to the UK to fight Groves, and he thinks Froch would be easy, why not come over, beat Froch, take the money, and go home as undisputed supper middleweight champ?

... But Ward still has noone of notice to fight next, right? If GGG is ducking, why doesn't he call Kovalev? He will be surprised to find out the answer.

Ward will make a great commentator...
Your right GGG is ducking Ward... no if ands or buts about it! GGG is willing to face guys from Canelo to Chavez jr, no problem but Ward is too big now?

And Kovalev would get his ass whipped thoroughly. I Love how you are trying to divert the heat from GGG this "feared" monster who EVERYBODY is afraid to fight. Yet the #2 guy is willing to take him up on that challenge, and now GGG doesn't want to face bigger guys after making claims he could fight Floyd and Canelo at 154... and Chavez and Froch at 168.

Not ONCE did he mention staying in 160 to finish off everybody there first. I am glad Ward said this... so if clowns even whisper the idea of GGG being this feared monster that nobody wants to fight... I am linking this article and the few others I already posted which shut down all that B.S. you were talking.

Thank you Ward for putting an end to this myth that ALL the top fighters are scared of GGG. Dude is fighting another bum this week, and his **** riders will act like he beat a top ten contender or something.

But I'm here now so I will be a problem to idiots... And "nuthuggers"

                • Ward will fight him at 168 with no problem, GGG isn't going to do that though....he will get worked it's that simple. GGG did say he'll fight anyone from 154-168 they're all ducking him....Ward says yeah sure come on over...no dice. I think GGG has a tremendous talent but he's not as feared as he's made out to be. They're marketing him right, and with HBO trying to build on him there's no way they put him in with Ward I just can't see it happening.

Ward dropped to MW? Did he mention that in the article?

That was a beautiful post. There are a few people on this thread trying to defend that GGG never said that. One dude was trying his hardest to defend GGG but that didn't go so well.

People such as yourself as well as many others have been saying with actual facts that he said he is willing to face anybody from 154-168 and Ward calls him out... Now Ward is wrong for that? These dudes on here I tell you
