I don't think he can fight on the backfoot, but there aren't too many who will force him onto the backfoot. Certainly not at 160 anyway.

        i seriously doubt it.

he's got the chin and the power to keep that from being a huge problem.

golovkin is going to lose to a guy who can move, take his punch, and outscore him. andre ward would definitely get it done.

Sakio Bika and Mikkel Kessler would probably get it done too, Golovkin isn't a Super Middleweight.

As i recall Golovkin fought at 164 in the amateurs, so don't think 168 would be too much of a problem. Going down would be more difficult for him IMO.

those are some odd names to mention in response to a post about a bad style for golovkin. they don't move well at all.

golovkin would knock kessler out. he looked ancient against froch, who has started to look ancient himself lately. and who gives a f#ck about sakio bika?

many of golovkin's victims in the amateurs are now at 168 or 175. he knocked bute out in the amateurs, for example.

acting like 168 is an insurmountable amount of weight for golovkin is wrong. he'll have to worry about length, movers, guys who can take his punch. he won't be horribly outgunned, and most of those guys will still be suited best to box.

I don't agree that a mover beats Golovkin. I don't know why you think this is the case, there is no one better at cutting off the ring in the sport.

Many of the guys at 168 would put it on him. They're bigger, stronger and hit harder. Golovkin's defence is not great.

                  Why not?

He's been 170 on fight night before.

The only backwards thing I've seen about GGG and fighting is his opponent selection. They seem to get worse and worse

It's like Floyd at JMW, many say he's really a WW, his trainer argues he's a LWW. I think Golovkin could go up for certain fighters but imo if he campaigned there he would get beaten down by the bigger SMWs.
