The granite-chinned Roberto Duran took a very memorable KO versus knockout artist Thomas Hearns. It wasn't exactly a one-punch KO, but it was close enough. One well-placed shot by a murderous puncher can take anyone out.

Or is it like a Khan thing, where if you get hit just right, he gets bambi legs, while other fighters can fight through that, and can take a hit that Khan can't take that well.

It really depends on the skill set I get with the physical attributes.

For example. What if I have KO power, and don't have the skills or speed to deliver that KO shot?

What if I have a granite chin with feather fists, and just suck?

Either guy would get his **** pushed in, but the guy without the granite chin would take much less of a beating, and still has that puncher's chance.

BUT, the KO guy can make more money in a shorter time, and just leave the game after getting KOd a few times on the world class levels.

The granite chin guy might have to fight 10 more fights than the power guy to make the same amount of money, all while taking more shots to the head than the KO guy.

This is all assuming I can get by in the lower to mid tier levels with my weak chin, and just KO guys left and right. If not, then gimme the chin.

unless you're a tiny little dude, you can stretch somebody if you hit them in the right spot and when they're moving in the right direction.



if you're looking to have a successful boxing career, you're better off with a great chin and little power than a big punch and a bad chin.

why do you guys always assume that the guy with a good chin is going to be taking punches? we never said the hard hitter was faster, a better boxer, etc. we only said that he has a huge punch and no chin.

you are always in the fight with 1 punch KO power. behind on the scorecards doesn't mean the end of the world but if you have no punching power you can't afford to be behind on the cards...

It depends how good I am in other areas.

If I'm a good fighter with speed I'll take the chin as that would make me very hard to beat.

If I don't have the boxing skills to win rounds I'll take ten KO power as that gives me a chance against anyone.
