chin for me. the punches that hurt the m ost are the ones you don't see. a granite chin would hopefully lessen the damage from that type of blow.
would you rather have a granite chin or 1 punch knockout power?

I think you're trying to add extra conditions onto what the core argument is to favor your point.pardon me for looking at a thread on a boxing site in a boxing context.
the TS was talking about street fights?
unless you're a tiny little dude, you can stretch somebody if you hit them in the right spot and when they're moving in the right direction.
if you're looking to have a successful boxing career, you're better off with a great chin and little power than a big punch and a bad chin.
why do you guys always assume that the guy with a good chin is going to be taking punches? we never said the hard hitter was faster, a better boxer, etc. we only said that he has a huge punch and no chin.
It's a simple matter of A versus B.
He's not saying, B but you can still have the power of A if you catch them with the right angle.
If he was I could take your argument and put it in my favor as well and say:
Just because he has one punch KO power it doesn't mean he has a bad chin.
But to say that would be pretty boring. That's why we're choosing one or the other here.Last edited by MBE; 01-23-2014, 05:59 PM.Comment
