Martinez isn't taller then Golovkin fool u dreaming? Martinez is taller and bigger than Cotto, u think 5-10 pounds don't make a difference at 160 for Cotto then you are living in wonderland. Sure Martinez isn't the same as 3-4 years ago but Cotto is not exactly a young lion.. Floyd seemed bigger than Cotto the way he fought him and Cotto outweighed him by 15 pounds...

And yes, I think Martinez juices. But again, I think Cotto will be foolish enough to not even request random drug testing. Instead, he'll be too busy worrying about his demand for Ralph Lauren towels or some ****.
Let's see Canelo's numbers when he's the A-side. Cotto made $3 M for the Rodriguez fight. He doesn't need Sergio either.

There's no need to speculate. Cotto and Martinez had infact negotiated in 2011 and it was agreed for a 155 catchweight. Of course he would have gone down an extra messily pound if he needed to, but obviously having the middleweight title on the line would be important the promotion.

Floyd's CW demand makes Cotto's look good. The only reason why he even told Margacheato he wanted a CW was because he didn't deserve a rematch from the get alas $$$. Cotto felt he took an advantage and made him pay a 1lb price. What did Canelo do to make Floyd demand a CW? Oh wait a boxingscene article Ellerbe pulled out of his ass SMDH
                Does one fan=The entire fanbase?

I've never been against catchweights. I don't mind them and I don't see what the issue with them is unless one of the fighters can't make the weight.

The only irk I have with them or had with them in the past is when it's for a title but even then it's not a huge deal.

For example I didn't mind the Pacquaio-Cotto fight at all even though it was for a title because the Pacquaio-Cotto fight was a big fight that had to happen.

I didn't like the Pacquaio-Margarito one but that was more to do with the sham of a title match and the catchweight added fuel to that fire.

Catchweights in general I have no issue with, like I said they've been around a long time.

Martinez would never agree to catchweight because it's difficult for him to make 160 lbs as it is.

He'd agree to 157 or 158 lbs maybe if it was Pacquaio or Mayweather though, because of the boat loads of money involved, fame, etc. But no way he's going to do it for Cotto.
Did you even read the article or did you just click on the thread to argue.
His adviser clearly states he weighs in at 1 or 2 pounds under the limit.
So 158 would be normal for him.

You think he wasn't desperate for a PPV fight? That's why he chased JCC Jr for so long and Cotto is a bigger draw than Chavez.

The rest is just stuff you're making up with no evidence behind it. The fact that Martinez said he would have dropped to 154 for Cotto is not evidence to you though?
Outside of Manny Pacquaio and Floyd Mayweather, I haven't seen Martinez saying he would drop to 154 lbs, and not for Cotto either.

And yes, he did make all sorts of demands like that. At one point Martinez was even fighting about the title of the fight. They wanted Miguel Cotto vs. Sergio Martinez. And Martinez was like **** that.
