Cotto has never shown he can beat someone of Martinez's caliber he couldn't even beat Trout or little Floyd but he can beat Martinez?

If it was just about money he would have fought Canelo though. Stop discrediting it like it means nothing, because even you know your dumbass comment about Cotto ducking Canelo to face the lineal MW champion is impossible to defend.

He quite obviously would have. He stated it on numerous occassions. Cotto is arguably the 3rd biggest draw in the sport behind those two. There's no way in hell he wouldn't have gone to 154 for Cotto. You're deluded if you think otherwise.

Does Martinez have what Trout and Floyd had left in the tank?

But he will fight Canelo. That's my point! Whatever happens in this fight, unless he gets a serious injury - he will still be viewed as a viable opponent for Canelo because he can use the excuse that 160 is not his weight etc etc.

Cotto says - I want a catchweight. NOPE! I want to walk out second. NOPE! I want to (fill in the blank). NOPE, go to hell! Martinez has leverage this time so he can do that. If Martinez were negotiating with Pacquaio and Mayweather -- trust, he will bend backwards and forwards because they have toooooo much leverage against him and the payday would be greater. Cotto doesn't have that going for him.

But like I said, catchweight or no catchweight, I think Cotto wins and exposes Martinez. The one thing I think Cotto should request is random drug testing. But I think Cotto is foolish enough to not even demand for the one thing that matters more than any of that other ****.
I stopped reading when I saw "Cotto asked for a CW" because he didn't they said 160 was fine even before negotiations even started. Add to that Martinez also said 157 or 158 is fine and they are still saying 160 which sounds like a CW was never even talked about, go away. At least Dirk uses some valid ****ing points not completely false rumors.

BTW I'm totally fine with Kneeguel Quitto nickname, I think it's pretty creative lol.

Cotto is worth more $$$ to him than PW was and Sergio and his team must realize that. Martinez has more leverage now, but he still doesn't have the leverage of being the 3rd biggest draw in the sport.

                  You think Sergio is juicing?

Then why are we arguing, that's what I said Cotto should do. Try stating it like that instead of Cotto ducking a hypejob and maybe we won't have a misunderstanding.

The bigger question should be how much does COTTO have left in the tank? Martinez is much bigger so he's already at an advantage...
